Have really enjoyed my time at Kroc. The facilities are clean, it's never felt overly crowded,…read moreemployees are welcoming. But, I specifically want to shout out Coach Matt for his swimming instruction. I'm an adult and learned to swim as a child. However, I had some negative experiences with water in later years and wanted to conquer that and learn how to swim laps. Matt has been an amazing teacher; very patient, kind, and explains things in a way that make sense to my brain. It's clear he has a lot of knowledge and his demeanor put me at ease--both to try conquering my apprehensions about swimming and also to ask any question I wanted. I often got to my lessons early and got to see Matt working with other students, both children and adults. It's clear others also appreciate working with him. One mother told me her daughter was afraid to put her head under water before Coach Matt, and we watched as her daughter now leapt into the deep end with a smile on her face! I was only in Augusta for a few months, but if I return, I will definitely be trying to get a few more lessons in with Matt.

So basically I took my kids here to the kroc center today to go swimming. We'll I would like to say…read morethat the vibes n weird actions from the guards today was not cool. One of the guard that look like a Ken barbie doll with his blonde hair was being real petty and a lil racist to me when he kept blowing the whistle at my 10 9 and 8 year old about running which 1 time was true I was there looking right at them but the other 6 7 times he was really being funny and petty because he seen me paying attention to him the whole time. And than he was feeling some type of way because my kids wanted their ball back from a boy who was being a ball hog and not sharing. I feel he had a issue with me n my kids because as I kept looking at him he was staring my daughter them down with a mean mug on his face. My experiences here has really been unsatisfied. I think I'm just going to go with the Family Y and get a membership there. Because the kroc center has been showing me unsatisfied actions and experiences since I became a member there. They need to do better. Also today water was a little okay but majority of the times I went there to swim the water had too much chlorine in it that my eyes were burning everytime water hit my face.

As a new comer, the staff was welcoming and helpful in ensuring I knew the basics and recommended routes to take that would be beneficial for a beginner and definitely had fun doing so. They also have military, student, or first responder discounts and that includes admissions, shoes, and harness; price was very fair. This place certainly had a wide array of equipment for even power lifting, ninja warrior stations, bouldering walls, and plenty of rock walls. You do have to be certified by them to belay on your own, so I stuck with the auto belay walls; just wish there were a little more selection of auto belay walls. Overall, I had a great time and rather you're a beginner or experienced, highly recommend this place if you're into bouldering or wall climbing.

Most climbing…read morecenters tend to be overwhelming at first for me as a beginner climber because of the huge walls but the walls here aren't as intimidating. There is a designated kid area with really easy climbs so bring your kids here for exercise or birthday party!! There is also a table tennis and conditioning areas which I use when I'm too tired to climb. I do wish the bouldering area was bigger and had more beginner friendly routes but it might be that i'm just really weak lol. The day pass and the membership price are average for climbing, overpriced if you are expecting gym membership price but so worth it if you like climbing. Overall, an amazing place to visit with your family in the Augusta area!

My daughter loved this place so much that she wants her birthday here next year, which I'm very tempted to do, so we'll see. There's so much to do and jump on that you can't get bored at all. The food is yummy, too. The service was great. They have little scavenger hunt games, and my daughter actually found one and got a slushie as her prize, which she was excited about and enjoyed it all. I definitely recommend this place to everyone young and old. They have massage chairs if you want to just relax, lol.

Remove all money from your wallet, and pay for the bear. Ok but seriously - this can be a fun experience for a special occasion. If you have a "I want everything in the store!" kind of kid, I would not recommend going here, unless you have an endless budget for this bear-making experience. If your kid is ok with something like this - "We are going to get you a special bear, and you can choose 1 outfit and 1 accessory," you could get out of the store for less than $50, especially if your child chooses a bear on sale or less expensive bear. (Some are as low as $15, but go up to $40.) Also remember, you are not just buying the bear, but paying for the experience, and it can be fun! After visiting the location near me for my older daughter's birthday, my younger daughter wanted to go also for her birthday (of course) while we were in Georgia for the holidays. This location was almost identical to the one near us, so my review is largely the same. This location is also clean, bright, friendly, and welcoming. The staff is ready to help and really try to make it special for the recipient.
