Being a parent to a military child I wanted something he could keep with him no matter where we end up. I chose to put him in Taekwondo even though I had never tried it out, and it was a great decision. My son is being taught more than Taekwondo by Master Kim and Grandmaster Kim he is also learning discipline and attention to detail which is sometimes hard to get across as a parent. They are very family oriented. They take the time and patience to work with all of their students. They are very disciplined. I would highly recommend them. Master Kim is patient with the children and really takes each childs needs/technique and skills into consideration when working with them. This gives instruction a more personal feel. My grandchildren Audrey and Elijah have learned a great deal of confidence, patience, humility and pride through the practice of Tae Kwon Do. Granmaster Kim and Master Kim are awesome at acknowledging each childs progress. Mrs Kim is an awesome manager of the school and serves as a lynchpin for the organization and keeping the Families and children motivation, informed, and happy. I just read review stating that they would not recommend Kim's. I have two of my grandchildren at Kim's and would highly recommend them. The review stated no class orientation, schedule or student folder. They have a monthly schedule posted to everyone on their website for everyone to see. I have never witness anything this person stated in their review. All the class rules are posted on the board at Kim's and Mrs Kim goes over everything with new parents of students explaining everything. If they are not teaching the things this review states , then how are all the other young children and up able to do what this review says it not being done. Sounds like someone is just upset with someone at Kim's for some reason or another and is giving a bad review just out of anger. In response to Olivia G's review: There are emails sent out at least two times a week with all updates on scheduling, classes, events etc. Also, on the website, there is a calendar with all updates and classes w times. Every person, including children, who has come in since I have been taking classes there, receives try out classes. Instruction is top notch. Explanation is always given with all new moves and is very flexible to the way each person learns. Master Kim works fabulous with the children and all the children with their parents are always learning new things. This is a family run business and they are fabulous with their people skills, teaching skills and knowledge of their profession.  Do your homework and be honest when you are leaving a review. read more

It would be extremely helpful to have an orientation class for new students and white belts. This orientation class can include the basic stances, protocols for entering and exiting the dojo, and counting to twenty in another language. Currently, none of this exist with a new student folder of the schedule for the month or anything. I do not recommend this school to any parent wanting to start their child in martial arts. read more

Kim's Martial Arts is the studio I've always been looking for. The environment is wonderful and supportive, and it's consistently the best part of my day. Both Master Kim, and Grandmaster Kim are great teachers, and are very good at changing tactics to help you understand how to improve. I was nervous to start training because of a previous hip injury, but since training with them I went from being in pain every day, to having almost every day be pain free. They are very good with working around injuries, and training you at your level. I couldn't be more grateful to be their student. read more

Our 5 year old has been attending Taekwondo here for the past several months and loves it. Master Kim is very talented and patient while working with the kids. He teaches them discipline and structure while allowing them to have fun. Andrew goes to class about three times weekly, and every time is a different type of class with new exercises and routines which keeps him engaged. Andrew's first testing session was so much fun to watch - he demonstrated elementary moves of Taekwando and even broke his first wooden planks with a hand maneuver and then a kick maneuver! We were looking for an extracurricular activity which would teach him discipline, restraint, structure, and focus while also giving him a fun way to burn off energy. Master Kim's daily classes offers this and more, and my husband and I look forward to seeing our son develop skills and maturity in the months to come. read more
