The waitress was very attentive and checked on us often throughout - all the telltale signs of a good place to eat. So far so good - while looking though the menu we saw pictures of the Chicharones Cantinita - it looked amazing - so we decided to start with that. Needless to say, it was the single most delicious plate Ive have had in a long time! My friend told the cook that came out to serve it and plate it for us that it was the best thing he had ever had - Ever. Not idle praise but sincere commentary from a pair of Big Backs lol and I urge you to give it a try! Pictures are attached. Moving on to our main plate.... Ribeye tacos with bone marrow on the side....yeah.... The food got better.... They were also unbelievably good. Savory- with the light green salsa, and sprinkled with the extras to taste, all nestled in a soft corn tortilla taco with carmelized cheese layered under the ribeye beef.... Crazy Good....

She has found that she can eat the regular tacos and they're fine. Last night she ordered the regular taco meal and the waitress brought out brisket tacos. My wife asked it they were gluten free and the waitress went back into the kitchen to verify it. When she came back she informed us that, yes, everything was indeed gluten free. She also said that she would take care of the ticket so that we were not charged the additional fee for the brisket tacos. Turns out that they DID charge extra for the brisket tacos (which we went ahead and paid) and my wife got sick about 2 hours later and had an upset stomach for most of the night. So, they lied about charging the additional fee for something we did not order, and they apparently made my wife sick. Will we go back? Yes! When hell freezes over. The restaurant is humongous and beautifully decorated with vibrant colors. Service was okay but didn't feel very welcoming. They have complimentary chips and salsa which he bragged about but our visit the salsa was overly salty, unfortunately. My chicken meal was dry so I started eating off the chicken fajitas my son ordered and it was better. I'm guessing the cheese enchiladas my husband gets were great since he devoured his plate. I had high hopes especially when we drove 2 hours out of our way to try them but we may have visited on a bad day. I know my husband will keep coming so I'll definitely have to try them again possibly during the lunch buffet and hopefully I'll love them like he does.
