Disappointed, but hope things are okay I found Martha's Housekeeping on Yelp and her reviews were really promising. I was looking forward to using her services and booked through Yelp. Communication was always done here, which felt legit, but her replies were usually short and not very detailed. I had to reschedule once because of my own conflict, and on the morning of our new date, I received a text saying there was a family emergency. I completely understand that life happens, but I never heard back after that. I didn't end up receiving any service, so I can't speak to her cleaning quality. Explored lot of dirt in washer, dryer and other places, so updating the review. Pros: 1. They came early on time at morning 7. 2. They are responsive. 3. Nominal fee Cons: 1. They were not able to remove greasy dirt, I tried with Clorox wipes after they left which helped. 2. Patio wasn't cleaned properly, I see the spider webs all over the place. 3. Martha and her team were amazing. We're in the middle of a big headache. Our tenants left our house in near rundown condition. We had to strip carpets and put in new carpeting and new floor tiles. We had to repaint the whole house. We had to rebuild and redo everything from the inside out. A complete rework. Thanks to our independent contractor for leading the way. And also thank goodness for Martha and her team. They helped a lot. In less than 3 hours, Martha and team vacuumed, mopped, sanitized, scrubbed, bleached, dusted, and wiped down the entire house. Martha was fantastic! We hired her to do a in/out cleaning of our empty condo that the movers will be coming the next day to unload. Martha arrived on time and did an excellent job of cleaning everything! The place was spotless after she was done. On top of it, she charged us a very reasonable rate! Best of all, she bailed us out on a tough jamb. We had arranged for Stanley Carpet Cleaners to steam clean the carpet after Martha, but they showed up and said they couldn't do the job because our condo was too far from the parking lot. Martha heard while leaving, so she called her connections and hooked us up to a professional carpet cleaner who was able to come right away. Unlike Stanley, they had no problem with the distance. Their hoses and cables were long enough to reach our unit. Even with a hefty tip, they still came out less expensive than Stanley's quote! Booked them for a move out cleaning but cleaners did not even bring a vaccum cleaner and didn't vaccum at all. Really awful service, will not recommend them to anyone. Update based on the response : I initially thought I was being harsh with 1 star but reading the response now I think this deserves 0 stars. We didn't have experience similar to other reviews. One of the bedroom was completely neglected. It was assigned to a young person. Our ceilings are high so they are excused there but around fireplace we found cobwebs. One of bedrooms downstairs was left with dirt and cobwebs. N.B. It's a rental property and was vacant, so it was dirtier than usual living spaces. There were four ladies and spent 3 1/2 hours. read more
