The owner was amazing to work with, she was patient and listened to our concerns about my daughter hair which is very curly, thick, and long and on top of all that very dry. She was able to work her magic on my daughter's hair like a beautiful fairy godmother and transformed her hair. It's now moisturized, straight and so shiny and healthy looking. Everyone loved how it came out and my daughter has received MANY compliments on her hair.

I found though, that she did not really listen to what I had to say, as I found myself repeating the same information I gave her during my first appointment. The night before my relaxer and appointment, I put an olive oil concoction of peppermint essential oil and rosemary essential oil on my scalp. When I got to the salon, Stacey started asking me what relaxer my usual stylist used, I told her and she didn't know what it was because apparently "real" salons only use professional relaxer that burn your scalp. Less than 5 minutes after she began applying the relaxer to my scalp, my scalp was BURNING SO BAD. I asked her if my hair would fall out and she said no, and that my scalp would just be irritated. When we went to wash, she dug her nails into my scalp and washed my hair so hard, I thought it my entire scalp would come off into her hands. However, I didn't complain because I thought she was doing it to get the relaxer off. After that whole situation, she asked me if I had put rosemary in my hair and that it opens pores. She claims she smelled it while she was prepping my hair but said nothing, obviously, until the damage had been done. When I got home my head was so irritated and two days later, all the burns across my entire scalp started scabbing. The hair looked good though, but she put no product in it so it was very dry. I decided to give her another chance to do a protein treatment two weeks after my relaxer. She had me wait for hours. This review has been sitting in drafts for years trying not to tarnish her business.

She quickly identified that I actually have 4B hair and a rod set would work just fine. I'm still angry that Jenna had the nerve to charge me full price for the mess she created. Then had the audacity to tell me to come back in and she would finish styling the next day! What?! I attended a meeting looking a hot mess and she expected me to come back for more embarrassment? Ridiculous. Had she owned up to her ineptitude AND reasonably reduced the fee for the mess she made, I would have forgone the review and simply never returned. But future customers beware! You may be fleeced coming and going, just like me.
