I'm sorry to say that it looks more like a park under construction to me. It is completely fenced, which is a good sign. I did find a small sign on some foliage near the front gate that had a small white sign that showed this area was dedicated as a dog park on March 14, 2020, by NBV mayor and his team. The gate has a chain across it to block entrance and says Authorized Personnel Only. So, I am confused about whether the public could use this park yet or not. It looks like there are two separate areas for your dog - one for smaller breeds and another for larger breeds. The weight limit for small is under 30 lbs, and for large, they have to be over 30 lbs. I hope NBV enhances this dog park soon. It is a very good location, and you can see the NBV Welcome mural. The parking area has orange cones in each spot so that you can not park there. So, at this point, I am confused about using this park.

The park itself is well-maintained with clean pathways and a peaceful vibe, making it a nice place to take a walk, relax, or snap some pictures by the water. While the park is a gem, the surrounding area could use some improvement. Hopefully, as the city continues to develop and clean up, Albert Pallot Park will feel even more connected to the rest of the neighborhood. Overall, it's a nice place to visit, especially if you're looking for a quick stop to enjoy the view and take some cool photos. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

He also served as chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee for nine years. He was well known for supporting the creation of Biscayne National Park which was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968. The visitor center in the park is named in honor of Representative Fascell as is this park. Although this is a small park, it has a lot of amenities including a playground, outdoor fitness equipment, open recreation space, a pavilion, BBQ pits, tennis and volleyball courts, and an exercise trail. My favorite part of the park was all of the public art. Dante Fascell Park is the home of the Columbia Sculpture Garden which currently has six installations. There is also a large sculpture of a nude woman by the playground that was created by local artist Donald Lee Seiler. A naked lady is kind of an odd choice to stick in a kids playground but it is a cool art piece. As I walked around I admired all of the large shade trees and beautiful native flowers in the park. This is the ideal place for a picnic, play, exercise, fresh air, and culture and it is a unique community treasure in South Miami.

North Bay Village is made of three islands, Harbor Bay, North Bay and Treasure Island. The town was created in 1940 by dredging and bulk heading so North Bay Village has amazing water views. North Bay Village was once home to nightclubs, mobsters, and thousands of snowbirds. Today you will find high rises and a bustling business district. This park is named in honor of a chiropractor from the Bronx: Dr. Paul Vogel, who served as Mayor on the North Bay Village Commission from 1982-1998. Dr. Vogel was also US Coast Guard veteran. He passed away at the age of 84 in 2012 while still in office. He is credited with transforming sleepy North Bay Village into a more family focused community by bringing people together and adding amenities that made life better for city residents. In 2010 this Harbor Bay Island park was renamed in his honor. This small but well maintained park has a restroom, paved walking/exercise path, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic pavilion, and a shade coveted playground with rubber flooring. I think the nicest feature of this park is the stunning view of Biscayne Bay. Another unique feature of the park is in the form of a public art piece. Near the entrance to the park is a blue cylinder with a QR code on top. If you scan the code it takes you to the Cortada Foundation page where you will find information on climate change and how the rise in sea level is affecting Broward and Miami Dade Counties. The foundation places art installations in various public spaces to bring attention to this issue. In 2024 North Bay Village broke ground on the Vogel Park Marine Facility project funded by a grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND). The project provides residents with enhanced access to the waters of Biscayne Bay from a kayak launch equipped with a mechanical lever system. The facility will include a dock to berth the NBVPD Marine Patrol Unit which patrols and secures North Bay Village's waterways.

I'm giving this place a two, as it was my first time taking my dog to this park and it was hard to find. Also. I was harassed by a "Karen". She constantly was telling me that my dog was not allowed because of his breed and size. My dog is not aggressive nor does he bark at anyone/dogs. I guess because of the area, most of the people there were rude. I read all the parks rules before entering, and there was nothing stating that his "breed" was not allowed. Some of the reviews stated that this is the best dog park and it's not! It was just an overall unwelcoming environment.

As the police rushed passed me I decided to get off and find somewhere to wait it out while the accident got cleaned up which is how I ended up at Arthur Woodward Park. This park is named in honor of Dr. Arthur E. Woodward (1928-2014). He was the former principal of Miami-Douglas MacArthur High School where he served as an educator, coach, and civic activist. He lived in the Twin Lakes community, across the street from where this park now resides. Long before the park was here he used to cut the grass so the neighborhood could use it for recreation. On November 17, 2022, the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the four acre, lake front Alfred Woodard Park. This park is "part of the implementation of the Parks and Open Space Masterplan: a community-inspired vision to build a more equitable and sustainable community through parks, for this and future generations." Park amenities include outdoor fitness equipment, an elevated area for community events, picnic pavilions, with tables and grills, ten stone park benches, and a paved walkway for exercise. I really loved the walkway which runs alongside the lake. It was the perfect place to get steps in while waiting for the traffic to clear up. By the time I left the park, it was a straight shot home.

I'm always looking for new places to walk, exercise, and explore, and this spacious 9.29 acre park turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The highlight of Bird Lakes Park has to be its brand-new nature themed playground, which opened in September 2025. Following extensive renovations, the playground now features a scenic stone mound, climbing logs, seat boulders, a birdhouse, and interactive environmental learning stations. These interactive elements encourage exploration, climbing, imaginative play, and a connection to nature. The rest of the park offers plenty of recreational amenities, including a lighted basketball court, a baseball field, a recreation center, a picnic shelter, and a paved walking path. I was also surprised to find a teqball table. The sport is played on a curved table that resembles a table tennis table and combines elements of soccer and table tennis. Teqball was invented in 2014 by Hungarians Gábor Borsányi and Viktor Huszár after Borsányi suffered a soccer injury and wanted to create a less aggressive way to enjoy the sport. Today, many professional soccer players use teqball as a supplemental training tool, and it has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. In less than a decade, more than 100 countries have established their own teqball associations. During my walk through the park, I spotted numerous mother ducks accompanied by their adorable ducklings. It was wonderful to see that even with all the recreational facilities, there is still plenty of room for wildlife. It's nice to know that the birds have a place at Bird Lakes Park, too.

The park was created by the development firm Related Group who built the small park for the city in 2019 in exchange for closing NE 31st Street to allow construction of the new district. While it is a City of Miami park, it is maintained by the Paraiso District. There are approximately 7,000 residents living within a 10 minute walk to the park. While this is a park primarily used by area residents anyone is free to use it. Parking for Paraiso Park can be difficult to find but I found a metered spot a couple of blocks down the street. The main draw of this park is the stunning view of Biscayne Bay with a wide brick bay walk. The walkway is part of the Biscayne Line, a 10-mile waterfront promenade connecting Edgewater in the north with downtown Miami in the south. Next to the park and connected by the bay walk is the restaurant Amara at Paraiso, where diners can enjoy outdoor seating with bay breezes. Other park features include a popular dog park, public art, a children's playground with rope climber, benches, water fountain, and an exercise area with three Kompan Fitness Zone machines.
