I haven't been here in a few years since moving, but Susan and the girls behind the counter really know how to make you feel welcome. Susan(the Pharmacist) knows everyone by name and you never feel rushed to get in or out. You can simply drop off your script and browse the store while your meds are being filled, or even prepared by this compounding pharmacy. This store is not only just a pharmacy, but it also is part book store, part card store, and part gift store. It's like a one stop shop. I love it! FINALLY got someone to transfer it to another CVS, but was told I was triggering the employee. WHAT does she think CVS is doing to me by basically just not filling my script??? An added insult is the pharmacy refused to call other CVS's to see if they could get the med from another store, they told me to do it myself. WTH? SO done with this store (this has happened in the past with other prescriptions, particularly for my dog's cancer meds.) They obviously do not care about the customer! i would have given this NO stars, except the whiny person I spoke to tonight FINALLY transferred my script as asked. No way of knowing that they are putting your prescription back because you didn't pick it up, maybe because you had no way of knowing it was filled. No auto refill or app available. If they don't have your medication in stock and can't fill your prescription there's no way of knowing because they don't call and tell you. No shipping available and the open hours are short with Sunday closed completely. No call features to refill or check on prescription status. Plan on calling to find out everything you may want to know about your prescription or status of .The store itself is ridiculously small and expensive. During the last few weeks my family and I have had Bronchitis and Pneumonia and needed multiple prescriptions filled. Most prescriptions (no matter how many) take more than 2 hours to fill since the pharmacist is busy multitasking (which leads one to question why isn't there an extra pharmacist available to give injections so the other can fill prescriptions). Once the prescriptions are "ready", they tell you they are out of several and it will be three days before they have it in stock. Why did I wait for two hours for prescriptions they don't have? In addition, should patients be asked to wait three days for an inhaler? The tech didn't even offer to call other pharmacies to see if they had it in stock. Pathetic customer service. When we asked if they would call, they did, but failed to fax the prescription to the other pharmacy. This store has lost my business. I would rather wait in line at Walmart or drive elsewhere. The corporate offices need to understand the product they are selling is medication for many who are horribly sick. Waiting two hours, or three days, is unacceptable. I'm not the only one in the community feeling this way ~ just survey your customers and take reviews seriously. I have a typical CVS Pharmacy experience from a big city in Texas. I don't want to bring the same attitude to this little CVS in Ashland Virginia. The store employees were friendly to the personal level. They greeted us as my local friend and I walked in. He asked where to find something for him. I wandered off to see the store. It is definitely smaller than most CVS Pharmacies that I have been to. But it has everything just not many selections. The cashier was chatting with my friend as we checked out. The store is located at Ashland Junction Shopping Center. The mall itself is kind of small. I guess after a big store vacated the space, it gave me an empty feeling.
