Marshall's Ozone Park is a great store! Whenever I need pillows like Stearn & Foster in King size, had no problem finding them here, and at a better price than Macy's. Also I love the kitchenware section. Always find great pots, pans, and various items needed for my kitchen. Really good quality. Love the candles, bath towels, have purchased 500- 1000 thread count sheets at an excellent price. This location has a parking lot, and street parking (must pay meter). Honestly, this location like all other Marshall's/TJ Maxx store are hit and miss depending upon the time of day you come here. I've found that it's best and wisest to come right when they first open. The store is still zoned and my fellow customers haven't yet had the chance to mess the place up again. Also there is usually only 6 customers in the store at open and since it is a smaller store, that means it's less chance to running into foot traffic while browsing the aisles. I've picked up various items here over the years and the inventory is seasonal and in my opinion, changes from week to week. Most of the items I buy here are for my husband and son and our kitchen. Rarely do I spend money on the clothes as again, the sizes are hit and miss and I'd rather go to H&M or Forever 21 to shop. Yes, the lines can be long but that's usually every weekend day and every day after 2 or 3 pm. Obviously, the closer you get to closing time the longer the lines because most of the people there are shoppers just getting off of work and school. Common sense. If you want to avoid the lines, come early. Also on the occasion that there has been a line, every register has always been open when I've been there. And the lines look really long because it's extending into the back of the store but when you compare that to bigger sized Marshall's, that is the normal line size. It just looks worse because this store is so small and it frankly needs to move into a bigger space. I just left the store. There was a girl outside that closed the doors 20 mins early and said she can't let me in because the store was closed. I then asked her doesn't the store close at 8pm he said well we are at max capacity! So, she can't let me in the store. They have one line for both returns and purchases. So if you have to return one item, you have to wait on the checkout line which is usually about 30 ppl long at all times. Not efficient or customer service friendly. read more

First let me just say I try to avoid any and ALL Marshall's at all costs, however, today I had no other choice. I'm not going to blame them for today's madness (it's Father's Day after all) BUT the following are daily issues particularly for this Marshall's: 1. The parking lot is so small and always packed. Is this parking lot for customers or employees? If it's for employees that's fine. Parking around here is tough but if that's the case, there should be designated spots for employees and customers. Like come on. 2. Disorganized disorganized disorganized. I got here 20 minutes after the store opened and it was a mess. If you have clothing separated by size, please ensure the correct sizes are there. 3. Stop putting price tags on the front of picture frames and notebooks! As it was Jan 15 I walk up to sale person on fl and asked if it was half price, she took it and said it was not to be sold as it was after Christmas an should not have been on floor . never heard of that before. I first visited this Marshall's (accidentally) December 30. I was on my way to PA and drove by it...so I ran in to take a quick look and ended up purchasing a few items. They had just opened (at 8:30am -- early hours during the holidays is a plus) and everything was pretty much in "it's place" and the employees were getting things in order -- as much as one can...we have to remember that it is Marshall's. Overall I had a good experience. The staff were "okay." Not really friendly but just okay. The cashier, however, was nice and had a sense of humor. My advice is to go early when the store opens. Less people and easy to navigate. When I was there I was the only customer and saw one person come in as I was leaving. What did I purchase? Two pair of slacks (Express), two sweaters (DKNY and something else), house decor pieces, and a few other things. All very nice! Yes, it's true -- the parking lot is extremely small. I believe it can only hold about 8 cars. So, if you can't park inside you'll have to do metered parking on the street. For now...I will be returning. Let's keep it real. I don't come to Marshall's for fantastic customer service or clean and organized displays. I come to this Marshall's for their fantastic selection of home goods. I have gotten Kitchen Aid, OXO and Cuisinart items for under $20 and sometimes $10 as opposed to $20+ in the specialty stores. For that alone I'm a fan. Although always a messy store, they have some pretty nice things in here. It's just a tad frustrating because sometimes you have to walk over or go around the mess with your shopping cart. At times I find myself picking things up off the floor and putting them back on the shelf. I don't understand how people can pick up something and if you're not going to buy it, just put it back where you found it. I came here once when the store had just opened, what a difference! This Marshall's location is almost always a mess. I know most of these stores get messy from customers who have no regard for anything. But the shoe department is terrible. Shoes in all different locations. You'll maybe find one shoe buy not the other. They sometimes have some good deals on jeans and work pants. I did find a few pairs of jeans at a great price. When I told her I wanted to go back to college and that I recently applied she said "I can't hire you" with out any reason. What's the problem if Marshall's hires only part time???? Good place for bargains especially off season (not Xmas) I think they mark everything up and then mark it down at holiday time so you think you got a good deal. The lines are kept long so as you wait you pick up things on the nearby shelves like socks, pet toys, snacks, etc. Personally, I like the yard sale format as it is more enjoyable to browse than a store where everything is in strict order. read more

LINES ARE RIDICULOUSLY LONG!! This location makes the DMV's lines seem short. No matter what time of day it is (I'm usually there between 11:30am and 1:30pm on my lunch break) you can count on waiting on line FOREVER. This store is not even worth a half star. I went to the store to browse, I did find a few things that I liked. I noticed that the line was a little long but decided to wait because I was not really in a rush. I stood on the line for 45 minutes...Waiting and Waiting Only 2 cashiers and at least 30 people standing on line. Whats wrong with management wake up and put another cashier on so the line can move. Kind of organized. Not enough to choose from. I found a few things but I believe they were in between seasons so the shelves were kind of bare. The only good thing about this place is the merchandise, although it's a mess u really get quality clothing, shoes and products. I hate this place. I'm not one to spend all day shopping, but I have to whenever I walk in here. The store is a disaster: everything is incredibly unorganized, the cashiers take forever, the fitting rooms are highly unorganized (and I'm lucky if there is an attendant there), and the prices really aren't worth the hassle.
