Pretty big store with all the expected Marshalls items. I stop in here from time to time for clothes, gifts, home goods. It's one of those stores you have to check often to see what they have in stock. They rotate seasonal and holiday items with any unsold items going into the discount bin after the holiday. They have good prices on clothes and I always check out the sales racks. Clothes are offered for all ages with big changing rooms at the end. The layout here is similar to other Marshalls in this area. With lots of kitchen items it makes sense to check here first. They offer different items than you'll find at other stores which often have the same items at different price points and the prices are good here. I often find things at Marshalls I've been looking for elsewhere. Pots, bowls, linens, utensils. It's all here, plus some food items. One line forms for all the registers and of course they have impulse buys along the way. Candles, personal care items, socks, mittens, lunch boxes, you name it. All cute and desirable. I went to visit a friend and his son recently and I decided to stop at this Marshall's to get a sports-type gift. They had a great selection of sporty type items...for a great price. The store was very clean and very neatly set up. It was a pleasure to shop in here. There were 3 cashiers when I approached the checkout line and I got out fairly quickly. read more

I visited Marshall's for the first time on Monday since moving here. We went back today (Wednesday). I found MORE than I needed- loved their selection of dresses, although it could be arranged a little more strategically. Kids shoes could have had more of a selection- there wasn't much for little girls. Home decor was great! Loved that there was a great selection of fall/ Halloween decor. Marshalls is a great way to find a happy medium between thrifting and huge department stores for those who don't have a desire to wade through either. Affordably priced clothing sold in a fluorescent lit warehouse? I'm down! Nothing like searching through a variety of polyester knitwear to find a great Free People sweater or Ralph Lauren jeans! Joking aside, this is my preferred vendor of markdown clothing. They have a greater selection of items than the competitor (we won't mention names, but it rhymes with "EK Saxx"), and the items are more wallet-friendly. I've found some awesome designer stuff here, not just clothes, but luggage and home goods as well. I got a whole set of Mia Toro luggage (so cute!) for less than $120 here a couple years back. Marshallsis a local store with great prices and a really nice shoe department. It's very continently located. The home department is pretty well stocked and offers a lot of fine gifts. This is a fab around the holidays for gift giving. They carry slot of designer clothes.scarfs, gloves ,etc. It's in a plaza that offers other items that are neede in the home and garden so it tends to be s one stop place. read more

Proximity to good sushi at Mizu in the same plaza makes this Marshall's a WAHOO worthy one... Ample selection of housing goods. Not as many shoes as the North Kingstown locale. Otherwise generally identical. Oh snap - Tawny A claims that other Marshall's have Marc Jacobs. I've never seen Marc Jacobs in ANY Marshalls, or TJ Maxx really, so I would really like to know which one she is referring to. Maybe I don't look hard enough but I'm a pretty hard looker. I can't wait till Rhode Island gets a Nordstrom's Rack. I think Marshalls is phasing out the underwear though. I keep looking for it and I can never find it. read more

For being a Marshalls in a small town like Middletown, this place is doing pretty well! Of course it doesn't have the larger selections like Marshalls in places like Warwick for example. The store is kept clean, on a few occasions I struggled to find someone working there to help point me in the right direction. Once I did manage to ask someone for help and she knew they didn't care the product but shared with me some places that did, I really appreciate that. Often in the food section of the store I see bags of products that have been open, I know it is not the store's fault but a little more attention might need to be give to this part of the shop. I have also seen kombucha for sale in this isle, kombucha must always be kept in a fridge...and these ones weren't. Overall, Marshalls has fair prices on nice clothes even some items that are from big brand names that typically cost much more. Their women section, oils/creams and shoe section I think take up most of the store. It's difficult to find cute stuff for my four year old nephew here, there are more little girls clothes than boys clothes. read more

Nice and clean with an alright assortment of men's clothes, but the men's shoe selection is abysmal. Other marshalls carry WAY more shoes from name running brands; this store just...doesn't. Other than that, its a pretty standard marshalls; maybe a bit cleaner than some of the others I've seen. I just wish there was a better selection of clothes and shoes for us dudes! read more

who doesn't love a good Marshalls? and a clean one at that! This is one of the nicest ones I have been to, with friendly staff and good organization. One star knocked off for not having the higher end items that others have, like Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and LAMB. I spotted some Dooney & Bourke and Coach shoes, but nothing nicer. Visit Newport every year for at least the last 17+ years for the annual tree lighting in December, about 10 years ago found this Marshall's and it's an absolute gem, first of all being from New York I am used to paying sales tax! NO SALES TAX HERE!! But on top of all the many items to choose from, kids games and electronics, to men's shoes, sweats, shirts, jackets, jeans hoodies, electric razors, cool stuff for around the house and holidays! My wife and I spend at least an hour and always a few hundred bucks in here every year, I have bought and still have at least 6 winter jackets! North face! Guess! LUCKY BRAND, all big name items with small price tickets, just can't beat the selection and pricing, Gifts for everyone year round here, especially gifts for yourself and you can't help but to break the bank everything is so cheap but quality!! My favorite place to shop here, will always come to visit this place whenever I am here, I can't not... There staff is super friendly always! Makes for a comfortable shopping experience.
