I like Belk. I discovered a Belk store on my last business trip to Owasso, OK. I don't have one…read morenear me, and looked forward to this one. I was watching Ellen on t.v. the other day, and her makeup artist looked dirrectly at me (well, not AT me, but it might as well had been), and said, "You need a simple black dress. Every woman has a simple black dress." Ellen said, "Not me," and I don't have one either. So, I was at Belk, looking for Alegria Shoes, which they carry, in the style I want, and there it was....the simple black dress. It's perfect. It's around $48, and simple. I need to be completely packed to go on the plane, to see my extra clothing space, before I buy anything. I really went to Belk for the Alegria shoes, (the peace sign shoes) and more pants, like I found at the last Belk. Considering Belk has high quality clothing, more like Dillards, but bright, and less stuck up, than I feel at Dillard's. Clothing isn't always low price, but the clearance racks seem plentiful. In this particular Belk, I found ample help, on a Saturday morning. The employees aren't pushy, but are kind and helpful. Belk also sells Estee Lauder/Lancome, etc....and handbags (I always have to look, but Coach handbags are a bit over priced. But sometimes they can be found on the clearance...) Ka Ching Ka ching ka ching. I'm going back Friday, after I pack for the plane, cause there's a couple of dozens of items that caught my eye.

It took about 10 minutes to get all of the pins off the mannequin, and it ended up being my size. She also gave me my measurements quickly and painlessly! Hui is awesome, give her a raise. She way overdelivered on my expectations.

This store was packed with everything. Tons of deals too…read more The womens and housewares is on one side of the mall and the mens section is on the other. The big and tall section was bursting at the seams there were so many clothes and the associate that was working the section was very nice and accommodating. My main complaint is that the prices are rather high compared to other retail shops and you really have to watch their sales and clearance racks to really make the trip worthwhile. Overall the store was well staffed and very clean for being the day after Christmas

The guy came out did his little thing to see if it was enough! But never layed in it to see how far down it goes once you lay in it! So after 2 1/2 months of waiting they couldn't even call us they send me a letter saying it was enough for a replacement! Would never use Dillards for any furniture again!! So make sure your sales man knowledgable about the mattress and Warranty! Had my Bassett mattress for 15 years never any of these problems just thought it was time to get a new one! The Walkers (Scottish) cookies and Lindt chocolates are cheaper here than at the local grocery stores. I pick up things here frequently. Target Grocery is always weak. Ok, what I like most of all are the fellow customers. This crowd is so much better than the crowd at walmart. Then when the young lady comes up she acts like it's an imposition She's on the phone with her friend she's ignoring the people in line, doesn't make eye contact, doesn't say hello, barks out the price. When the guy in front of me got so upset, he just picked his stuff up and left after he paid didn't even wait for his receipt and she got upset because he just took off muttering under her breath like SHE got disrespected. Unbelievable! I only gave a two because they did have what I wanted. Otherwise it would have been a zero.

Even the people that didn't even acknowledge back she still stayed pleasant! I have worked in customer service for 11 years and I know that I wouldn't be able to do her job! People jus don't realize the small things that other people do that can make such a huge impact on how good your day can be! So for that I give Arlene 5 stars!! Now I get to the customer service area and there are 2 cashiers helping people but it seemed like the computers were down or something bc it was taking forever, I wasn't bitter about it bc I understand how much those customer service people have to endure with rude people, another job I couldn do!! So Ima give them 4 stars jus for putting up with all the rude people that go through there! And lastly, one of the customer service reps saw her cousin and jokingly said, " help me cousin! We need help" (the line behind me had grown to about 7 more people) so her cousin, Jessica, came right over and told me she would help me. First of all I don't think Jessica necessarily had to come help but she did-for all I know Jessica could have just been a regular cashier or maybe she was about to take break, regardless of the case she came over and helped which I thought was really cool of her!! And I know everyone behind me was probably thinking the same thing ;) so throughout my transaction Jessica was very friendly and kind to me and I really appreciated her for that! This Wal-Mart is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. I try to use the Money…read moreCenter for money orders and such since it's so close to my house, and it's highly inconsistent. One day they open at 8, the next they open at 9. The website clearly says it's supposed to open at 7. The ladies that run it are highly unprofessional. Thy have an attitude half the time. Some of them choose to gossip loudly about coworkers and sometimes shoppers, literally yelling to each other. I've even heard them discuss shoppers' money issues out loud. I understand it's not a bank, but there has to be some type of professionalism there. Speaking of rude, there's one manager that I've had to deal with on 3 separate occasions. All 3 times I was asking simple questions, but her responses never matched my issue. She always says stuff like "I keep tellin yall...." Ma'am? Telling who? You work here, I don't. How am I supposed to know a policy that I've never had to encounter. Why are you being mean to me if it's your job to help? Just please, overhaul this whole location.
