This is a place that's slightly upscale, so you will be paying a higher price than you would at some of the other clothing boutiques in this mall. However, I believe that quality is worth a little extra now and then, so it's always my first stop at HaliShop. They carry all kind of great brands, but they no longer carry my guilty favourite, Juicy Couture. Sad face. Still, the rest is pretty awesome. I've gotten so many of my staple items at Envy, from my awesome squirrel dress to my formal winter coat. I do wish they would carry more accessories, however. High fives to the ladies who work here, as they're always willing to track down an item or check other stores if they don't have something. They're also totally honest with you if you ask them about an outfit you're trying on, which is so helpful when you're shopping solo, such as I usually do. Seriously, check it out the next time you feel like a splurge. It's easily one of my fave places in Halifax for clothing.

The outlet line is not quite up to the same standard as the regular retail line Overall I was very pleased with my shopping experience. Don't go in expecting to be greeted immediately at the door and assisted throughout your entire shopping experience as you are at the BR flagship stores because it's not going to happen- it is an outlet after all. The quality of the outlet line is slightly lower than the flagship line, but still on par with Gap or better. I was able to put together several outfits in under 30 minutes and left feeling as though my time there had been well spent.

The good news is that their prices are actually very reasonable for the most part. And I walked in right when they were having tons of deals! The sad part was, none of the clothes I wanted fit right or looked right on me. There were some interesting jackets but I wasn't in a "jacket buying" mood. Now onto the staff. When I first walked in, I couldn't find them. So I looked around and looked around some more and still couldn't find any. I shrugged, thought about how security seems pretty relaxed, then went over to the changing room to try on some of the clothes I would eventually find out didn't fit me right. I did then find staff, but they simply gave me a number and told me where I could go to try on the clothes. They weren't rude and had a pleasant sounding voice. But here is a list of what they didn't say or ask: 1. Can I help you with anything? 2. How did that one fit? 3. Could I get you another one in a different size? 4. How about orange as a color? I never found any staff who were at all interested in me as a customer. I looked around just to check and see if someone else was having better luck but no one was. When I walked by staff they were talking and coordinating with each other. But they simply acted as if there were no customer's in the store. H&M does have some nice products and even though the clothes didn't fit me perfectly, they will fit someone. So they deserve three stars for having a good variety of clothing and having deals from time to time. But two stars are missing because customer service was down right nonexistent aside from someone handing me a number and letting me know where I can get changed.

I mainly stick to the women's sections, but I've ventured over to the men's section from time to time with my boyfriend and I've been jealous over the selection. Even though the women's inventory probably triples what is available for guys, I found that the selection and style was much cooler than the girls. The dressier section of the women's clothes are a little to flashy for my taste, I did pick up a nice grey cardigan which I love because it's not a typical v-neck, and instead it buttons all the way up. Prices vary, some of the more casual clothes are pretty cheap, but the formal selection can be really pricey. This is still a fairly new store so I've found that their sales have been few and far between. Hot Hint: I found a really cool (and durable!) umbrella on sale here. Keep and eye on the accessories and you can find some great deals.

When you first enter the store you'll find yourself faced with tables and tables of adorable nick nacks and homewares to browse though - so many cute mugs and beautiful candles! One day I dream that my home will be filled with them. They've also got journals, books, even a kids gift section. Further back you'll find clothing - men's is on the upper level and women's on the lower. They've also got a killer jewellery section (which is where I've found myself most often drooling over the rings and earrings). I never look closely at the clothing because I don't want to tempt myself (out of my price range), but just glancing at the racks I and tell there are a lot of cute things that I hear are really great quality. From the little bit of browsing I've done the sizes are all pretty small...whomp whomp. In the men's section you'll find wallets, shave kits and some really fun socks in addition to the standard clothing fare. Don't miss out on the back section behind the men's clothing where the sale stuff is! They've always got a good selection of sale things. I really love the idea of shopping at Biscuit General, but unless it's some of the smaller items I just don't have the budget for it. It can get very pricey very quickly. That being said if you have more room in your budget definitely give Biscuit General a shot - it's definitely a local gem!

I typically spend between $10 - $20 for excellent tops, which are perfect for the business-casual office I work in. They have great sales on the regular priced items as well, 50% off jackets, 40% off sweaters, 30% off dresses, etc etc. The sales staff vary - they are usually very helpful (sometimes too attentive), but on the odd occasion I've never even received so much as a hello. If you're looking for something stylish for the office, or casual for the weekends, and don't want to break the bank - I highly recommend checking out Cleo!

I have tried for months to find just regular pants I can wear to work without having difficulty sitting down/breathing. With the exception of Sears, I've been SOL. Until I finally tried Cleo. They have all kinds of professional wear that won't be mistaken for workout clothes/club wear. The prices are reasonable and I had a very friendly and helpful staff person watch me practically cry with happiness. I nearly bought the place out. My first stop will be Cleo from now on.

The Halifax location is a good sized store and is well laid out, with women's fashions on one side and men's on the other. The selection is great, and the prices are quite reasonable. The staff are friendly and are always eager to help. Over the past few months they've had many savings specials. Recently they had a Ladies night where you save 20% off everything in the store, and they frequently have monthly specials where you save $10 when you spend $50 (upon presentation of a coupon). Overall, I've been quite pleased with this store and will continue to shop there in the future for myself and for others.

You usually get a bogo deal on shoes there I'm aware that it's the store for younger people and I would never buy the bottoms or most of the tops there but I have found one or two T-shirts that I like such as ringer tshirts, plain ones, cute ones...buy one for five dollars get one for a dollar I mean, come on. it's not the best store but it is what it is. They seem to carry a variety, ie: jewelery, cloths, hats, purses, socks and more socks, funky tops, etc, etc. You can get some good deals, like 5 packages of socks for $10.00. Keep in mind , these will not last long, I call them disposable cloths. But for the young girls, it is a great place to shop and not break the bank. Keep in mind, it is an exchange policy only.

The thickness and the weight of the products lets you know that you are purchasing a great product. I can say that they are pricey but they will last forever. As for the cloths I was never really a big fan of the Roots symbol bring largely displayed across my chest but I do love the sweat pants. Again the quality of the material is fabulous as it is something that will not show its washing as it is made with a quality product. I wish that they would have more sales on the stuff especially the leather purses.
