Called corporate at the six week mark and they tell me the shirt has been placed in the mail this week (after six weeks and no one from the store has bothered to call me still)... Corporate customer service tells me if I have not received the package in the next few days that I should follow up yet again. The entire chain from the stores to the corporate headquarters need a revamp-I know a few unemployed people who would love to do an awesome job at customer service, follow through, follow up and communication. This is sad and could have been avoided after week three had gone by. If I tell a client that i'm going to follow up or do something and that doesnt happen within a reasonable peiod of time i would no longer have a job. I'll go to the competition and shop from now on-the only way I'd ever buy an Ashley Stewart item ever again was if I got it from a thrift store.

I visited Big Time Clothing on 11/05/2019 and put a shirt on layaway because they did not have my…read moresize. I wear a 2x but the customer assistant informed me they run small and suggested a 3x. She put in a request for that shirt. The shirt was $109.99 before tax which was quite expensive for a shirt so I was confident the assistant knew what she was doing. The customer assistant lady was very nice. I came and picked up the shirt on 12/03/2019 and completed the purchase of the shirt. $120.44 total. When I put the shirt on which was selected for a photo shoot, it did not fit in the neck...too small. Extremely disappointed I had to change my outfit for the photograph, I attempted to return the shirt on 01/05/2020 and at first was told I could do so by the same lady but I had to purchase something in the store with the credit. I has spent some time and had already picked out a few items when the service lady told me her boss said to not give me the credit for the return and to come back in and speak with them. I am disabled and 65 years old and it takes a lot out of me to get around. I am flabbergasted the this business would treat me in this manner. I now want full credit for this shirt that does not fit and want nothing else out of this store. All of the sizes are all mixed up as they are not made in America. I seen one sweater that was a size 5x but I could tell it would fit me. Proper Courtesy might have gotten them a good customer.

As it turned out they did not have it in stock, which was okay. It may be found online through the Macy's webpage. The salesperson running Clinique sales area today was great, very helpful. I got out of the habit of shopping at this store due to some years' worth of highway construction that prevented me from going into the Lansing-Calumet City area easily. Today, a mid-week visit to River Oaks Mall worked out fine. I was at the Macy's store in the early afternoon hours today. While I was at the store I visited all departments at was always greeted and asked whether I needed assistance. This was certainly true in the fragrance/makeup/body lotions, etc. area. The State Street Macy's is in the process of incorporating outside businesses; in the case of the River Oaks store they will be incorporating Finish Line and Toys-R-Us in the future. This is being prepared but these two departments are not open as of 8-3-2022. This was a good visit. Had I been able to find my Clinique item I would have given the store five stars, but that is okay.
