There's so much to look at here, the property itself is stunning and surrounded by amazing nature, the staff are all warm and friendly, and you could spend literally hours here perusing the shelves. There's good old fashioned candy, popcorn, snacks, there's Valle Crucis souvenirs to bring home. It's never felt like a tourist trap, it's always felt very warm, country, and welcoming. The building itself is so old and stunning! The creamy floors and woodsy smells, it's always a treat to come here and there's so much to look at and buy. There's even a Christmas shop upstairs year round, where you can stock up on goodies ahead of time for Christmas. I'd say the value is pretty good, depending on what you're buying. Snacks, drinks, candy are all very affordable, but the souvenir and brand name products of course are higher up in price, which is to be expected. All in all, a wonderful place to stop by to grab a treat or bring home some gifts for family and friends. Highly recommend!!!

***100th Review***…read more Over the last week, I've been thinking long and hard about which establishment I want to dedicate my 100th review to. It's a meaningful milestone for me in the Yelp world and I want to choose wisely. I remember reading about the CEO of Yelp, Jeremy Stoppelman, who had the idea for Yelp, Inc initially when he had trouble finding a local doctor in 2004. It comes back to the idea of community, service and sharing and I decided to dedicate my review for this Target store in Bristol, VA. Now I've actually never been to this Target store and my dealing with them is purely by phone. However, they really touched my heart in an above and beyond way and here's how. Last week, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line launched and I had totally forgotten since I was celebrating my best friend's birthday that day. 2 days later, when I realized that I had forgotten to place the orders for the items I wanted, the online inventory and stores were sparse and it was especially hard to find the one item I really wanted, their large black tote bag with gusset. I called around and went to the local Target stores all around me, none had it and I was quite bummed. I decided to branch out and check inventory elsewhere and came across this store. From the moment I spoke with a store employee I felt the lovely Southern hospitality. Christine, the store manager, was kind and helpful. She had a bag in stock but they were unable to take payment over the phone and I live thousands of miles away. I asked if they could ship it to my local store and she said that it isn't company policy but she can check and get back to me. 2 days later, Christine called me and said she'd be happy to ship the bag to my local store. She said she also emailed all the store managers in that store to make sure they will call me when they receive the bag so it's not accidentally put out on the floor. I was amazed! This level of customer service is really a step above the rest and I am thankful they went to so much trouble to make a customer happy. Thank you, Christine and the crew at Target Bristol! Hopefully one day, I'll be out there for a visit.

I made a double payment for my Kohl's charge in error, so I called and requested a refund. The…read morerefund was mailed 1/27/2023 and was initially advised to wait 7-10 bus days for receipt. Never came. I called again requesting to have it reissued, but was advised up to 14 bus days. Never came. I called again requesting to have it reissued, speaking with a supervisor & was advised can take up to 4 weeks. Never came. I called again requesting to have it reissued, and was then advised to wait until 2/27/23 since it was mailed on 1/27/23. Never came. I called again today, 2/27/23, and requested to have it reissued. The rep said it was reissued and said 14 bus days for receipt / entire process of reissue, etc;. Now I am waiting until 3/17/23 and I will have to call back again, I am sure of it. Oh and I tried to contact Kohl's corporate office and the number goes to a recording advising the number is not monitored and to call back another time. WOW, is all I can say and I will be cancelling my Kohl's charge card and never shop there again. Horrible service and they refuse to overnight it, expedite it, put it back on my account even to use so I do not have to live the nightmare for a refund. I am disgusted by the way Kohl's treats their VIP customers. It is a disgrace and anyone who shops here or has a card, must be ignorant and they will learn like I did after all these years. Good Luck!
