They have a very good selection of imported candies from Italy and other specialty foods like coffee and olives. If you 're looking to decorate your home, this is a great place to do it. Upscale items at very reasonable prices, like lamps, rugs and picture frames . . . sometimes you can find some really beautiful things hidden away on the shelves. Just be aware that the furniture that they sell, and the large rugs, appear sometimes to be seconds . . . with minor imperfections or dents and dings, but can be repaired easily making it a good purchase. This store, and the one in Hickory, NC are definitely my favorites . . . along with the big Marshalls in Greenville, SC off of Woodruff Road. David began with a few basic questions and listened to our desire for our budget and needs. Instead of jumping into some of the more expensive chairs he immediately went for what he considered most comfortable middle of the road. As soon as my wife sat down on this recliner David described the features and it's made quality which was more important than I would have imagined. They are differences in each manufacturer and found he even knew about special adjustments we could make during ownership. This to us was not only a delightful experience shopping but worth noting this was an educational experience as well! We had been shopping at other furniture companies in Johnson City and had always thought Grand Home Furnishings would have been out of our budget. What a surprise it was after visiting another local furniture store where the folks working hardly knew how the chairs we were looking at worked but didn't give the vibe they wanted to show us something other than their most expensive. Glad we stopped in Grand! Thank you David for sharing your knowledge and experience with us helping us make an expensive decision. You guys have earned our future business and look forward to shopping for a new bed soon!
