I think these businesses never consider the POWER OF A REVIEW. First if all I want to say if there was a selection below one star MARSHALL Realty would get this one I am absolutely shocked at Marshall Realty and their representative Brylle for lies, being led on , and the poorest unnecessary communication. The reason I called Marshall realty is years ago I was going to get my realtor license and at the time Marshall was still a realtor and had his commercials playing. So when I was starting to study I called over there because I was going to consider working there. My sales and customer service is outstanding. At that time I talked to Marshall on the phone and he was so nice and informative I said wow that seems like a place I would like to work. So years down the line i remembered his kindness and I called his company to talk about a property . So I spoke with Brylle who I thought was a very nice young man and was very presentable and professional. He left that day saying they would get back to me in a couple days. Well that couple days turned into a week and then they just didn't call back after awhile leading me on and treating me like my time is not valuable. Marshall is a professional and has been in the realestate game long enough to know better than to treat a customer like this. Especially someone who has said such good things about you. Marshall you make enough money that if you are not interested in doing business with someone , if you don't want to deal with buying a property instead of leading people on , just leave an automated message. Here's an example for you. Hello this is Marshall and I am sorry but I don't think I can make an offer to buy your home at this time but please consider us for the future. Thank you for considering Marshall Reality. Have a great day and good luck with your property. How hard is that ?????? You could even send out a letter if you do not want to deal with addressing the public. The fact that they did not respect my time and the extremely poor communication, and then not to call was the strangest thing ever. This all happened recently and Brylle was telling me Marshall had poor cell service, was on a flight, and all this weird stuff and then they stopped responding Marshall I think you owe your community, and also clients , and potential clients so much better than this Also this is is something that happened this month in October 2023. So this is new info and how they currently treat people. I am very active in the community and felt this review was an absolute must I even gave them some extra time( weeks ) before I posted this review to at least apologize and even though we didn't do business we could still keep communication open. If you are looking for options to sale your house pass Marshall realty up, I don't think this company is the same as they were when Marshall was doing his commercials. I understand he is an investor now , but that still doesn't excuse that absolutely weird , strange, and poor customer service. Lord knows I did not want to leave this review but it's a must to tell it like it is. Also I understand that they look for houses that they can flip. However ever one you talk to i a potential customer if not now , maybe for the future. We have friends and family and recommend and review all the time. So please next time consider this. I've bought and sold a few homes in my day but my experience with Marshall Realty was the worse!! *perspective buyer for a property in Northwest Reno* I've heard horror stories from people who have been in "communication" with Marshall but never experienced it myself. I put an offer of 5k more than asking price and patiently waited for a response, my deadline was 5pm the following day; Marshall never responded to my offer, and we had to email him asking if our offer was ever accepted or not, it took him several hours to respond with a vague email saying that he didn't think the sellers would go for it! Marshall Realty exceeded my expectations. I initially used the company in 2010 to purchase my first house. In March of this year, I returned to Marshall Realty to help me sell it. In the last seven years, the company has grown in size but somehow also increased its ability to provide personalized customer service. It's clear that they take a team approach. There were experts who helped me with each step along the way (from listing to photography to showings to negotiations, etc.), and everyone in the office was prepared to answer any and all questions I had (from the mundane details to my 1st time home seller's anxiety). They are nothing but fast talking used car salesmen promising you quick results. They are suppose to be representing you and have your best interest in mind, but in fact they do not. They will do whatever it takes to get their commission even make you pay for things that no one should. Whereas she comes across as a competent and seasoned broker, she is anything but, and in the end, did not represent us properly. She will deny the latter, but we hope this comment helps others. Mostly, Edna, does not know how to deal with any kind of conflict and when a seller or buyer needs her most to take control and assert herself, she will fail you miserably. I initially had a 4 month contract with another realtor and had very few viewings and communication was was very poor. I had a timeline I had to sell by, and I switched to Marshall Realty. Had a initial consultation with Marshall himself, and he had a very good assessment of the market, and had several ideas of how to market my house. They listed my house, and I had a contingent offer in about 40 days that resulted in a sale. Communication with his staff was very good, and I received daily e-mails about what was happening in the market around me. Not so ethical.... Before finally purchasing a home, there were a couple houses we took into consideration. One so much so, we started up escrow and paid for the inspections. Upon inspection the house needed more repairs than expected and the owner was unwilling to meet where we need to be for an acceptable purchase. No big deal, that's how it goes. Well during this process, Marshall represented another interested buyer. Some how they were able to get a hold of my inspection reports ( that I paid hundreds for) and shared it with their client. I would assume from the selling agent and hopefully not from my inspector. Not sure. I am glad their client and realtor could benefit from my expense. I was pissed at the time, needless to say. The only reason my review isn't a one star is that during that process, I did speak with one of their representatives. Unfortunately, I don't recall her name but she was prompt, professional and polite. So kudos to her! read more

Requested information on selling my condo in February 2017. A man came out to price my home and was negative in all comments. He estimated the value at $70k but suggested we list at $75k. I agreed to 80k. I the. consulted with another realtor who disagreed with that low a price. I cancelled my listing with Marshall Realty and listed my condo for $105k and got an offer for $100k in less than two days. Don't list your real estate with Marshall Realty. read more

They were the sellers agent and were so horrible. The repairs that were agreed to weren't completed and that was after four weeks of emails to complete the two small tasks they agreed to. Finally on the day before closing one item was taken care and we were offered a credit at the very last minute in exchange for them not installing an evap cooler that they agreed to. On the morning of closing, they tried to wiggle out of the credit saying they would refund us once we purchased it, which wasn't the agreement. Basically, they waited until the last minute to take care of anything and then tried to back out of it at the very last minute. Do some googling, this group is shady as hell. read more

The only reason Marshall gets one star is because you can't get less. They are a hard sell to get you signed up with them, then never do the work promised. They didn't even list our home for sale on the MLS. They tried to keep the listing "in-house" so they could keep both sellers and buyers commission. You are told you get "a team" to work with, that just means you don't get any one person, which means no one takes responsibility for your house. There was no agent looking after our interests and the buyer took advantage of that, costing us thousands of dollars. This is a poorly run agency and you will be wasting time and money using them. read more

Horrible. We met with Keith telling him that we were a first time home buyer. We told him what we wanted and it's like he didn't hear us. He recommended condos and apartments when we specifically said that we wanted a house. Keith pushed us off and doesn't seem to care if we get a house or not. I'm an out of state buyer and called Marshal Realty. Daniel Rohrbaugh was recommended as a top realtor for me. For the month I worked with him but noticed that he did not respond to my emails, he seemed not to have much time for me and only received the regular real estate notices that are impersonal. When I planned to come to Reno for showings, he gave me only 12 hours notice that he could not meet me. Daniel allegedly had to cancel due to a family emergency. His back up realtor did not contact me. I was at a lost whether to come to Reno or cancel. Ultimately, I cancelled and had a $125 penalty fee. Daniel never called me back. I finally called his office who was unaware of any family emergency. When he spoke to me, Daniel explained that he did not want to work with an out of state buyer and that he didn't know the Reno downtown market. I was fairly upset and had wasted a month working with this incompetent individual. If asked if this is how he felt how come he just didn't inform me early on. At this time, I would not recommend or refer Daniel or his company. I'm working with a reputable company now and am in escrow for a wonderful house in the midtown area. And, Daniel has not refunded me the $125 airline fee. What a loser. read more
