AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!…read more FYI: The following information was gathered from two other sources that also inspected the plumbing and correctly determined the problem. My elderly mother-in-law's home had waste water starting to back up into the house so 250 Plumber was called in a panic. Brock came to the residence to investigate and apparently spent 6 hours there (according to the bill), scoped the drain but reportedly went the wrong direction (uphill, when water generally flows downhill). In addition, I believe this also involved installing a new cleanout although one already existed. The scope reportedly went uphill after meeting the tee to the main drain, rather than downhill, and ran into the termination box at the upper end of the drain pipe. I mentioned the situation to the plumber but the plumber stands by his work, despite the errors confirmed by the other plumber and property owner and refuses to negotiate the amount of the bill. Like I said: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

What I got was a whole lot more. They diagnosed the source of the problem. It was not just incorrectly installed flashing as the roofing inspector from another company had said. The entire roof had failed due to poor ventilation in the soffits and inadequate insulation in the attic. This would now be the 3rd roof that I had installed in 33 years. The two previous roofers had not alerted me to the problem with the insulation and the last roofer also did not properly install flashing along the deck roof so water slowly leaked into the house causing internal damage. Smart Site went above and beyond to do an excellent job on the interior of the house. Andrew also coordinated well with the other trades that were required to complete the job. The dispatcher called shortly before 10AM to confirm we we home and said the technician would arrive shortly. The technician arrived promptly, and proceeded to extract 20 feet of root from the drain, then did a high pressure flush to clean the remaining dirt. He accomplished the whole job in an hour and a half. He was polite, efficient, competent, and very skilled. They advised that they could send a plumber on Monday morning and so began the planning process for a few waterless days - no tea, no showers, no dishwashing, no laundry... A few minutes later Roto-Rooter called about a cancellation. Did I want a plumber now, Ok he is on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter, evaluated the situation, arranged deliver of a shiny new hot water tank, completed the installation, removed the old tank and departed at about 4:00 pm. No pressure to install right away, said when it ultimately "goes" he has replacement ready to put in. Going to have him service the furnace yearly now. It just makes sense to.
