Every single person we interacted with was so helpful and actually more than willing to answer questions I had and answered questions I didn't know to ask. 4. The staff is experienced really knows how to talk and interact with children to make them comfortable and fun! Yes!! Fun!! 5. Their prices are fair and reasonable, as I had no dental insurance or dental plan so I had to pay out of pocket. 6. They REALLY, HONESTLY do not try to do more work than actually needed, then over bill you for it. They actually SAVED me money and heartache!! (Read on below). My son broke off a part of his molar, after the x-rays they said had one cavity and needed a stainless steel crown and pulpotomy for the broken tooth. I was scared and worried. I research and investigated everything about crowns and alternatives, turns out, crowns are the best option, but still felt the need to discuss to the doctor about saving his tooth and doing a filling. The hygienists gave me affirmation that Dr. Whitcomb always does what is best and is conservative by doing the least amount of work and only does what is absolutely needed. Still apprehensive, I at least had that trust walking out of the office. After my sons procedure they let me know they were able to save the broken molar and no steel crown or pulpotomy was needed just a good filling. I literally wanted to cry I was so happy, I hugged and thanked everyone. So that saved me $380 and most importantly my sons beautiful tooth!!! This was my sons first dentist experience and not once was he scared, he actually liked it a lot! I would recommend them to everyone young or mature and will continue to only go there from now on. Originally, we were referred to Dr. Joel (No disrespect to Dr. Tzinberg-I just like calling him Dr. Joel!) for my son who badly needed braces. Admittedly I was nervous for the cost and overall process but those were quickly zeroed out. Did I mention? Great dude!!! He was honest and said that my son was not ready for them yet, he needed them but now was not the time. I thought that was weird as most people are greedy and will just tell you its time to get it done. He did not. We visited a couple more times and each time he was not ready yet. Low and behold that day came-I believe it may have been about 2 years after the first consultation. George got his braces and off we embarked on the approximate 2-year adventure of monthly visits and modifications-Rembrandt like precision and skill, true artist at work. George's teeth were pretty twisted, but Dr. Joel sure fixed him straight. As parents, we were very pleased with his work or skills, my son was happy when they came off and we saw the end result. Great smile! I am jealous. We could not be happier. Well, George has a sister a few years younger and possibly in the "needing braces" rotation. Sure enough, we could not escape it and she required braces as well. It was a very similar and methodical process for hers. She just got them off last week. Such a beautiful smile. Oddly, she was excited to get them off yet super sad when they did come off. I will miss going to see Dr. and Ms. Audrey once a month, I may have to stop in just to say hello. Although I am an adult complicated case due to a narrow palate and previous loss of multiple teeth with dental implants, there was zero empathy displayed by this office for my root resorption and continued tooth loss because I signed consent for possible risks. Most recently I had the new digital scanning technology to image a tooth that needed a touchup. The tech was visibly frustrated with the difficulty of scanning my teeth because of my gum recession and exclaimed loudly in front of a room of juvenile patients, their parents, and staff as the seats are lined up with no privacy "Ugh It's your teeth!" I was completely humiliated about a health condition that has caused me severe depression and significant anxiety. Staff are insensitive to adult dental conditions.
