Parents: This is the Yelp review you need to read before making a decision about where to have your child's dental and orthodontic care done.
I am now a twenty two year old who has been a patient of this office since I was a little kid. In fact, today I went in for one last cleaning before I go across the country for graduate school in August.
Like most of us probably remember feeling as children, the dentist or any doctor's office inexplicably felt like a scary place. Maybe this is the case for your children right now. It is important to find the right dentist/office for you and your family.
With that, this is my first Yelp review and I am not all quite sure how I can put into words the amazing work, care, time, attention, passion, and love, yes, love, the fine doctors, dental assistants, and office staff put into their jobs at this office.
All of the individuals who work here have made my past twenty years of dental and orthodontic care memorable and personally rewarding.
I will do my best to list the specific high quality care that you can expect for your child as well as the economics for you the parent.
1. You are treated like family here. In my twenty or so years of coming here as a patient, I have grown up with this office community and they have left footprints on my life. The staff all makes an effort to get to know their patients as well as their families. All of the dental assistants and both Drs know how to work with children of all ages and apply an individual, personalized approach to meeting your child's specific needs as a patient.
I came in to the office today greeted with hugs and hellos, questions about my sibling (who they've also known as a patient for years), my parents, my schooling and my life. They value the relationship with patient and family and work hard to keep you feeling like a member of their family. This is the same attention that has been given to me, my family, and other families for years.
2. Quality of care. I have received bi-yearly dental/oral care since I was a little child and during my teenage years I also received orthodontic care as well as other oral procedures (crowns, fillings, etc.) The diversity of care is met with a tremendous quality. Everything is professional, safe, handled with finesse.
3. COST. Yes, parents, I hear you. You find out that your child needs braces and you immediate feel a burn. No, not heart burn, but the burn of your wallet in anticipation.
No matter where you go for dental/orthodontic care, there will be costs involved. However, at this office there are dedicated and understanding staff that can work with you to find care that is affordable. As an adult looking back on the quality of care I received and my family paid for, it was entirely and absolutely worth it.
Finally, the strongest endorsement I can give my friends at Children's Braces and Dentistry is the fact that when I have my own family one day and I return home to La Mesa, I will be bringing them here. I, as a twenty two year old adult, would like to share the dental care I received from this office with my future family.
The truth of the matter is that they are already family, in a special way. Very few places can offer you and your family the comfort, security, warmth and loving feeling of stepping through the front door and feeling like you are at home.
Drs. Whitcomb & Surillo, as well as all of the talented and caring staff and dental assistants, have my very highest professional recommendation.
I hope to have you all join the family soon. read more
