Love this small town, locally owed cinema. My family enjoys day trips to Marshall for Jalapeño Tree and a movie here.

Usually love this place and their prices, but today we showed up early for tickets and nobody was running the ticket booth so tickets had to be purchased inside. This made everyone waiting for tickets also have to wait on those buying concessions. We left because we waited until we had missed 15 minutes of the movie. Not getting our service if they can't do theirs. Very upsetting. read more

We were in an R rates movie and there was a child that kept making noise. We told the manager on duty twice. They finally told the police officer on duty but they just stood there and didn't do anything. The movie was cabin in the woods which was quiet in the beginning but we couldn't hear anything because of this child. The manager should have offered us a refund or something but did nothing. Y'all should NOT allow small children in an R rates movie. And management should be replaced. It is 2-11 so please look up who was on duty and handle this situation. read more

This movie theater was absolutely pristine-the historic building is lovingly preserved and the property was spit spot and clean inside and out. The staff were so friendly and the popcorn was hot and fresh. The prices were so fair too. This cinema was the highlight of our visit to Marshall-it brought back so many happy childhood memories of movies past. read more

We arrived maybe 10 minutes after showtime, when previews were still playing and lights weren't even off, (we had friends inside waiting for us) and the young lady working the box looks at us and walks away. after a number of minutes standing and waiting for someone to come speak to us, the same lady walks back and turns off the box light, STILL without even speaking to us. a few moments later a gentleman comes out and says we can't get in. i understand we were late, but i find it extremely disrespectful that we stood out there for as long as we did, and nobody would come speak to us. especially for the young lady to turn off the light on us. super disappointed. read more

I love this movie theater. When I'm at home in Austin I always have to brag about it because where else in this country do you have the choice of 6 different first run movies for $4 with inexpensive concessions and stadium seating? It makes me want to move back every time I think about it. Even when this movie theater was only 2 or 4 screens with old tattered chairs and $1 tickets for maybe week or two week old movies ($1.00 - $2.00 popcorn and drinks) I still loved Marshall Cinema. I am a cheap person so sometimes I want to go back in time so I can watch Jurassic Park or Interview With The Vampire for the first time here again and enjoy the dollar movie prices and cruddy 70's atmosphere with those huge empty rooms, but I think the upgrades are worth the additional admission price and you can still get a small, medium, or large cup of water for only a buck so that's nice. Much much MUCH love for the Marshall Cinema. I really can't think of anything they could be doing any better. If they raise the movie prices again though, I'm gonna be pissed. $4 is a good price. If I come back next year and it's $6, I'm going to go to Longview or Shreveport and pay the extra dollar or two for the larger selection. Like this year I came and watched I Am Legend because the price for admission is so low, but if it gets too high I'm gonna think they'll probably have something else I want to see more in the larger cities that's not Alvin And The Chipmunks and 4 other children's X-mas flicks. $4 is good. Keep the $4, Marshall Cinema. $5 - NO! $5 BAD! $4 gooooooood. read more

This is a great theatre and worth driving from Longview to watch a movie. The prices are excellent. Even at the concession stand small popcorn is only $4 and if you printout their coupon online it's free. Best part about this place other than low prices, is the nice stadium seating and the clean theatre. Fun for the while family. read more

Great experience! I was concerned about bringing my service dog, we had not been to a theater together. Management not only answered the phone, but called me back when the call dropped, to assure me there was ample room for my service dog to be out of the way of foot traffic. Once we were there, the staff was excellent! They recognized the dog was working, didn't make a fuss or draw attention to us. There was indeed ample room for the dog to stretch out and relax during the movie, on a CLEAN floor! The seats were comfortable with plenty of elbow room. The restroom was a bit of a mess and the handicapped stall was out of order, but in all fairness, there were at least 2 busses dropping off children in addition to the regular matinee crowd. The prices were great! Movie, drinks and popcorn for both me and my brother was covered with a single $20 bill. This is definitely a place we will chose for all our movie going excursions! read more

Tonight, my daughter and one of her friends decided they wanted to go to the the Marshall Cinema to watch a movie. They both attend Marshall High School but were told there has to be an adult with them to get in. Her friends mother had dropped her off and when we got there they went to buy the tickets when told they couldn't. We have a small truck so my wife got out and waited while I took them to the bowling alley so the could celebrate her birthday and have some fun. My wife said that while I was gone there were about 20-30 high school age kids that were let in by themselves. The only difference is none of the other kids were black. Tried to take my son to see, playing with fire, looked online to get show times. Show times listed for 6:40 and 9:00. Had a choice between Longview or Marshall, both about the same distance, to go see the movie. Chose Marshall what a mistake. Get there stand in line for about 10 minutes only to be told the movie we were there to see was having technical difficulties and would not be showing tonight. They offer to sell us tickets to another movie though. No where online or at the theater said the movie would not be shown tonight. So not only was the drive wasted but then we stood in line for nothing as well except to have them try to push us to see a movie we did not want to see. I imagine that's why they didn't post anything about the movie not being show was with the hope that since you were already there you would just waist money to see a movie you really did not want to see. For now on we go to Longview and don't recommend Marshall to anyone. read more

Cheap theater with first rate movies and great seats. Only downside is the screen is smaller than most, but other than that this is a great theater. read more
