As a fresh new resident of St Louis and moving quickly into a new relationship 3 days after my…read morefirst divorce, I was on the lookout for a wedding venue for marriage #2. I'll spend $1,000 on some shoes but a wedding? No way. My first and second marriage total come to about $150 and if I ever add a marriage #3, the total won't be more than $250. This was 5 years ago and I wasn't picky but we really found a gem. I wanted to get the wedding in right around Thanksgiving to have a future excuse to get out of family holidays. The quick scheduling (less than 2 weeks) and $75 happy hour special (between 12 and 2) were perfect! Canned champagne in the parking lot beforehand, a quick in and out that totaled no more than 30 minutes, a few friends and we were hitched! The morning was spent at the gym and the evening was spent eating waffles and drinking cocktails on Cherokee (after a costume change, of course!). So stress free and cheap. The background used to be pink/rose but it looks like they've painted it a nice grey to update. It also had some wild carpet which looks now to be wood. It is (or was) cheezy in a classy way, if you know what I mean. Now it may be a little nicer which is fine but I enjoyed the quirky charm. When you first come in, you spend a few minutes with the officiant in the office getting things laid out. Then, it's on! We wrote our own vows, made jokes, and overall loved the officiant. I cannot believe people spend so much on weddings when this is just perfect and gets the job done (over and over and over again, if necessary).

Her services are very reasonably priced, she is flexible and willing to do a non-religious ceremony, professional, and knowledgeable. We immediately felt like we were in good hands and decided to book. We emailed and called before the event, planning specifically what the ceremony would entail. She was helpful in making suggestions, but also flexible in doing what we desired. She is very organized and lets you know what to expect. The day of, she arrived on time and did a few paperwork pieces as planned. She started the ceremony promptly and did everything perfectly! I was, to my surprise, crying practically the whole ceremony and she was very calming as she looked at me, breathed deeply, winked, and helped keep me grounded. She had my vows and held them as I read them. She was fantastic and we were very happy with our ceremony thanks to her! We would recommend Carolyn for your wedding!
