Maybe I'm trying to breathe a little too much life into this sleepy town with all of those suggestions? The house roasted coffees, flavored things, and cold brew is worth the trip even if there are no other events happening to keep later hours on the day of your visit, or if your hotel coffee left you feeling disappointed in the morning. It's also a great local stop to see what's happening or coming up in the community for the week or weekend, with local events and tourist friendly spots posted on the cork board.

You'll stay in cabin style lodging with full bathrooms. Outlets and WiFi are available but you really don't come here to stay in your room. You get home cooked meals that are really good and campfires on Saturday night. Other activities include tennis, shuffleboard, arcade room, mini-golf, fishing, floating, archery, and nice scenic areas for walking. This is a family owned business that started in 1949 and the owners are extremely friendly! They are very accepting of all ages and groups. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new vacation spot.

HAD TO MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO MY REVIEW... PLEASE READ THE…read moreENTIRE THING! (ORIGINAL POST!) Rented a "Billy Goat" walk-behind brush cutter... rented from this company before but this machine was a HUGE disappointment. I spent a grand total of $227.50 for a two-day rental and not only did this thing look like it had been, "rode hard and put up wet," I got the only Honda GTX Powered piece of equipment on the planet that ran so poorly it was pathetic, to be specific... 1 - Coughed and sputtered for ten minutes before smoothing out... 2 - When it finally smoothed out, it didn't have the power to get out of its own way unless it was at full throttle... 3 - At full throttle, it guzzled up two, one-quart tanks of gas to cut an area the size of a tennis court... 4 - Power reverse wouldn't make it back on anything but a perfectly level piece of ground and if the grass is damp, forget it.... 5 - Blade must have been square, pushed over more than it cut down... I guess that's about it. The people are friendly and helpful, but the equipment they rent is garbage. (not their fault, the company owns it, the employees don't) If you go there to rent a brush cutter, and they bring out "Billy Goat" Brush Cutter #17394 tell them to take it back into the shop and get you a different one, or give you your money back. (NOTE : I gave them three stars instead of 1 because like I said, they can only rent what the company gives them and pays to keep in optimal condition. They're good people, but the company's commitment to renting first rate equipment, not so much.) (HERE'S THE NEW SCOOP ON THIS BUSINESS...) When I arrived back at their location and told them of the problems it had in pretty much the same order as I have typed here, the guy behind the desk apologized for condition of the equipment, noted which one of their machines it was, instructed one of the guys in the back part of the shop to go unload it for me, (It took the guy several minutes to get it started...) and then the dude at the front desk REFUNDED THE ENTIRE $227.50! I had expected to only get back the second day's rental since I had already had it overnight, but I got back every dime. I'm glad they took an ethical stance for a customer who got nearly no use out of a machine. Changed my mind about the company in five minutes flat. Still think Billy Goat #17394 is ready for the scrap heap, but I'll recommend the company. 10 out 10 for service to a customer.
