The people that need handicap parking are not in good shape or are old and don't stay up that late. They should not be the last ones out of the parking lot and the big wigs get out first. We almost got in a wreck because someone was mad they had to wait and almost back into us. There were almost fighting trying to get out of the parking lot. STADIUM OF FIRE YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!! I will never pay my hard earned money to go to it again after what we experienced trying to leave this year.

Before, I agreed with the 2-3 star ratings, but the new updates make it an easy 5-stars. Tons of new equipment from free weights to cardio machines to bumper plates for barbells to TRX training materials to kettlebells--BYU scrapped 95% of what was in the gym before and replaced it with new, better equipment. DEFINITELY worth checking out as a student.

Known for many moons as the David O. McKay Events Center, there have been changes in recent years to make room the growth of Utah Valley State College to Utah Valley University. The sound was good, and the importance of good sound can't be underemphasized. And, while I'm guessing that The 1975 brought most of their own show, there is something to be said about a medium-sized college arena handling well the unadulterated wattage surge of a 1000-foot video display and multi-colored lighting brought forth by this massively huge British band. I have been on campus over the years for other events such as Wolverine basketball games and the famed Michael Moore speech in 2004. For those type of events, it works decently and as it should. However bands, unless they are performing in "The Round", will find their fans making awkward angles in their chairs. While I was standing most of the time, sitting and seeing required turning myself 90 degrees left in an unswivelable and uncomfortable circa-1980s arena chair. The parking is maybe the worst I've seen at a concert. No UVU staff managing the traffic; we spent 30 minutes trying to get out, but not moving. This element I give an "F" ... hell, I'll give it a "Z-". Utterly and completely unacceptable. If you want to play with the big boys, UVU, start acting like it. In the end, the concert was great, and I'm sure there will also be great events like this in the future.

Once we sat down we were dying of water. My sister saved our seats while I went to get water. I asked an employee where the concession stands were and they only had one that was open which was clear on the other side of the building. Once I got the concession stand the was so dang long since that was the only concession stand open. They had a few vending machines around with water bottles in them that I wanted to use because I didn't want to wait in the long concession line. All the vending machines were turned off. So I had no choice but to stand in line. I waited probably about 45 minutes to 1 hour. I missed the whole opening act. They had 1 freaking person so the register!! I could t get over it. They weren't selling any water bottles, they said they are only doing cups of water. They had bottle waters in the fridge but weren't selling any. They said people throw them up on stage which I don't get because anyone could throw a big cup of water on stage too. The big cups of water were more expensive than the bottle waters too. Of course. They were $4 for each cup of water. They didn't even out ice in the water. It was the worst. Why would t you have more than one concessions open?? Why wouldn't they have their vending machines on?? Why wouldn't you have more than 1 person doing the register?? It was the worst!!

Concessions is fairly priced, though I'm unsure if that's the fairground or the people who organize the rodeo but either way the prices aren't super marked up and they also have food trucks. Signs are clearly marked and finding your seat is fairly easy. But I'd suggest bringing something to sit on because those bleachers are roughhhh! But all worth it because you get some pretty views of the mountains in the background

I've been coming to America First Field (formerly Rio Tinto Stadium, affectionately known as "The…read moreRioT") for Real Salt Lake MLS games for over six years now, and it's always a fun experience. The stadium has a great soccer vibe, and the unpadded plastic seats are comfortable enough to enjoy the game for a few hours. There are plenty of snack and drink options, though be prepared for the typical stadium prices that are on the high side. If you're flexible, waiting for last-minute seats can sometimes score you a bargain, which is always nice. The stadium does have some accessibility challenges for ADA and wheelchair users. There's only one place to store mobility scooters, so if your seats are on the opposite side of the stadium, it can be quite a trek. It definitely helps to have someone with you. I had to ride and drop my mom's scooter when the two of us went to a Real Salt Lake game last summer, which was a bit cumbersome but still manageable with planning. The stadium is well laid out and there isn't a truly terribly seat in the whole venue. It's designed perfectly so it's easy in and easy out, and I have zero complaints about the game day experience over the years. The team store is terrific as well, with tons of great merchandise if you need to get outfitted as a fan. While the name is now pretty generic and boring, America First Field is a solid spot for MLS soccer. It captures that local soccer energy perfectly, and I always have a great time cheering on Real Salt Lake despite the minor accessibility hurdles and pricey concessions.

We got front row parking and everyone was so nice and helpful in the entrance we went in. They have some really good food/drink options at the stadium like jdawgs and fizz as well as the basics (churros, kettle corn, pretzels, etc). My one big complaint is that all their sodas are in plastic bottles rather than the fountain much I would prefer. I would also recommend sitting on the west side of the stadium to enjoy the Mountain View's. Absolutely stunning. Also the Royals won!!! Wooo!! Go Royals!
