I echo the above review concerning Alzheimer's. My husband and I were given many reassurances, but in the end, there were almost daily calls about how they could not handle behaviors. There were vague insinuations that my father in law would be kicked out. We had to change hospice agencies and the new agency informed us that they walked in to him covered in stool and appearing in pain. Both of my in laws were there, but we moved my mother in law due to repeated falls and their requirement that we hire an independent aide. She was not being well cared for. The final straw came when they sent the wrong person to the new facility where we were transferring my mother in law!!! I am so unhappy with the new management. My father in law died and the person who was staffing the memory care unit had no idea that he died (she asked us if we had asked my father in law for his permission before we entered his room to remove his belongings.) We are still waiting for any sort of condolences from the executive director. (He called and asked where we wanted a reimbursement check sent without even a sorry for your loss.) Please don't use this facility for your loved ones.

Serving the families and residents in our community has made a profound impact on my life in the short period of time I've been here and allowed me to use the skills I've earned over my career in new and amazing ways. The entire leadership team at Willow Lake Place is new to this community and each and every individual brings such an amazing set of not just professional skills to the team, but a wonderful collaboration of drive for success and genuine desire to make our community an amazing place for our residents to live and thrive. I have seen bad reviews and listened to frustrations from the past at this community but I can't speak to what did or didn't drive those experiences. What I can speak to is what I see every day when I come to work at Willow Lake Place: - I collaborate with our interim Executive Director (ED) as she works so very hard to keep a keen eye on where improvements can be made. She listens to all concerns, managing expeditiously if action needs to be taken and truly drives for excellence, ensuring if/when she hands over the reins to a new ED, that transition flows seamlessly. - I smile watching our Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC/Activities), hugging and laughing with our amazing residents as she engages with them in activities she's worked hard to ensure the success of. - It's thrilling every time I get to watch Charles our Memory Care LEC have success getting residents to rock out with him as he gets his groove on to the music they have listened to and loved throughout their lives. - It's a daily challenge to tie down Renita, our Care Service Manager (CSM/Director of Nursing) so I can get her to assist me with new potential residents because she's so busy ensuring the level of care for our current residents is paramount. It's inspiring to witness her knowledge in nursing and how she commands excellence for those caring for and supporting our resident's needs. - I've gained weight already because Brandy, our Director of Dining Services (Chef/Dietary) has a love of baking and making delicious meals she has her team prepare extra of so the staff can taste and provide feedback on, to ensure our residents are being fed well and enjoy the meals she takes ownership of. - I've been humbled watching our nurses lovingly monitor, comfort and calm a beloved resident having a health crisis, acting with amazing precision in engaging protocol to expedite receipt of care and ensure the best possible outcome for someone who is not just a resident, but a friend that we have watched thrive, care about and have the pleasure to serve. These are the things I can attest to seeing and experiencing every day I am blessed to come to work at Willow Lake Place. I see from my team members and personally behave in a manner that I have desired and want for my own elderly family members. This is what I can share about what happens within this beautiful brick home that houses, assists and serves the most amazing people I get to laugh with, dance with, listen to, cry for and serve on a daily basis. If this is what you desire for your family member then I can say with confidence that is what you'll find at Willow Lake Place. We do realize excellence is always a work in progress, but you couldn't find a group of people more dedicated to doing whatever it takes to help our friends, neighbors and their families thrive and enjoy the life they're living while in our care.

But then again this is not just another assisted living. This facility was one of the first to start temperature screening when COVID started. They also started limiting outside healthcare workers and worked to have consistency with outside health services to limit the risk of exposure. Because of this quick forward thinking they were able to keep COVID out of the building for a year!!! Even then the cases they have had were very mild with less then a handful of lives lost to COVID. That is impressive!! This facility also has Safely You available in all of their apartments...a great program to reduce falls and improve response time. The leadership and staff are not afraid to think outside of the box at processes that improve the lives and safety of their residents. I feel very good recommending Traditions North Willow for anyone looking for assisted living care...it is an excellent place to land.

This place is a gem - the kindest, warmest, safest, most delicious food, cleanest, attentive, and beautiful. The staff is off the charts great and they think of everything. My mom is a current resident and is so happy that she often asks if she can stay there forever. This is remarkable as she was begging to leave her last two assisted living homes. I cannot think of a single negative except for maybe driving thru traffic at the Fashion Mall to get there.

If I have one complaint about this place, it is the inconsistant cable and wifi Services…read morecollectively known as Senior TV (at least that is what it was called when I moved in a year ago. Cable is supposed to be free. Wifi we pay extra for. Neither is reliable! The Wifi Service I pay for is Not Wirkung and not been working now for almost a month. There is an loser free Service DCCP Guest which works sometimes for a while but falls routinely working maybe for 1/2 hour. Cable seems to arbitrarily lose stations when it rains. Furthermore, AC can be inconsistant here. It is a "Geothermal" setup and it failed several times last summer. One time for almost a week on some very HOT days. Heating is out in several apartments NOW! Electricity went out night before last. Finally, plumbing has had to be shut down several times because of leaks needing repair. The local management, considerably reduced in size by the new management, seems to being doing their best but I don't think the new owners in Florida give a sh darn about staff OR residents! I would like to see more residents here, but not if they must endure what we have had to! Bottom line__ ask questions BEFORE moving in!! Find current residents if possible and not just staff!
