I have been going to Movewell for a few months for my lower back and scoliosis. I used to have…read moreintense pain during normal activities (sleeping, sitting, driving) and Stephanie is the best at providing both compassionate care and fast results! She has always doing such a wonderful job at understanding and validating my pain and providing explanations for my scoliosis misalignment. I have learned how to target specific muscles groups and engage my core during my normal activities to prevent my back pain. I have also noticed a big difference after learning breathing and stretching exercises to re-align my scoliosis. Not only does she show me how to do the exercises, but she also explains the purpose behind them. I love how Stephanie is so flexible, from writing/drawing/videoing my exercises and walking to my car to evaluate how I drive. My pain has lowered tremendously! Also, everyone at the clinic has been nothing but kind and always met with a smile on their face, so thank you to the front desk, Miguel, and Karen!!

None of the other places I reviewed offered message therapy which made a big difference on how I was progressing. I had the pleasure of having Mary and Nancy as my physical therapists. I always brought some water with me because some of the exercises felt like a full workout. I recommend booking your visits in advance as appointments can fill up quickly. Unfortunately, over those 3 years, my pain intensified, became widespread, and turned chronic. But finding Wan-Kai, the owner and primary PT, in 2017 completely changed the trajectory of my life. Wan-Kai takes a hands-on approach to his treatment and will spend the entire hour and finding your referred pain points. He once determined that my wrist and elbow pain was stemming from the fascia in my cheeks: he used deep pressure to release the tension, and I immediately felt relief and was in awe of his expertise. You will be amazed by how much he knows about the interconnected pathways of the body that most other PTs do not, because those ones rarely spend time working with their hands literally on their patients, checking their entire bodies from head to toe. I have to crack my back a lot and decided it was time to go to a chiropractor. Dr. Uy is very personable and customized your session to your needs. My lower back tends be tight so he used this electrotherapy massage that loosened it up. It was interesting feeling at first but definitely felt better afterward. After that he adjusted my neck and back. I didn't have to crack my back for like 2-3 months after the adjustment. Now I drop by every couple months to get adjusted and then I'm on my way. Extremely affordable, I used the Yelp deal too. Definitely recommend Dr. Uy, come give him a visit if you are in need of a chiropractor. He's a realist and will take care of you.
