I've been a loyal customer for 20 years and she is the only person I trust with my brows. Maro's talent is truly unmatched. She's not just a brow specialist, she's an artist. She has an incredible ability to shape and transform your eyebrows in a way that enhances your features. Look no further and book an appt with her. You will not be disappointed! read more

I will never go to anyone else for my brows! I happened upon Maro by a chance recommendation from my hair stylist after expressing frustration at my current brow place (Anastasia). Maro changed my brow to fit my face rather than the stencil Anastasia uses. I can not begin to describe the difference this customized approach makes. With a little patience in the beginning to grow and retrain, my brows now look the way they should. Beautiful and perfect! I tell everyone I know to see Maro and she has done the same for many of my friends - fixed their brow shape, advice for growth if needed and truly transformed what some may consider a small thing but brows are the frame of the face and should fit! I highly recommend seeing Maro and no one else. This is your final stop. read more

Maro is so kind and talented. I always leave a new woman after she's shaped my brows. I truly don't trust anyone else near them, so the fact that I keep going back to her says something. Definitely check her out if you're in the Chicago or Darien area! read more

Review is based of phone call conversation... very rude from the beginning asked her a simple question about needing appointment girl who answered must have been Maro, seemed annoyed by my questions and responded "I have a client in chair right now what do you Need ?" Very rudely and on top of that gave horrible information about where place is located. Was told on the right side of Whole Foods but actually next to the GOODWILL store that If she would have mentioned to begin with I would have found sooner...after all this decided to take my business elsewhere!!! read more

Maro is AMAZING! I've had my brows done in the past at salons and spas. They never looked that good and definitely not worth the money so I stopped. After the shutdown, I needed help but didn't want just anyone. I'm so grateful I found Maro's when doing a Google search. My brows have NEVER looked this good. I get compliments on them all the time! Thanks Maro! You are truly gifted. read more

I have been going to Mara for almost 18 years--- she is a true artist- after she shapes your brows you feel as if you have had a face lift--- a true miracle worker - highly recommended read more

First of all, that first reviewer that wrote that awful review is ENTIRELY wrong and that review should be taken down! Maro is absolutely FANTASTIC and she DOES NOT wear a ton of makeup; she is beautiful. And even if she wore all the makeup in the world, WHO CARES?? It's what and how she does brows that is important. I had an eyebrow transplant and spent a lot of money for those brows, and only Maro is allowed to touch them. This woman KNOWS what she is doing... she will look at your face and tell you what brow shape will best fit your face far better than any of these other salons who only wax. You cannot get a beautiful shape just from waxing. I have gotten more compliments on my brows since going to her than I have ever gotten before! She charges $40 or less, not $45, for a shaping and, let me tell you, you will not regret it. First she shows you the shape and then creates the shape by tweezing hair by hair. She spends A LOT of time with each client and makes sure every shape she creates is perfect. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT place to go, Maro is the place! read more

The best brows around!! I've been going to Maro for about 10 years now and would not let anyone else near my brows. I would leave my house with unkempt brows before I would let anyone else touch them and as a former makeup artist I know a lot of fantastic people in the business, but no one else compares. Fortunately though I never have to worry because she always gets me in when I need to. Love her!! read more

This is my third time getting my brows done by Maro and I'm just as shocked as the first! They look fabulous! I would never let anyone else touch my brows. Maro finished my brows and started on my cousin's. I was talking to my mom and realized I wasn't looking at her. I was looking at my brows in the mirror! They just look so good!!! read more

Okay, so i was too tired to drive to may goto eyebrow person in the city and thought I would try this place close to my home. You would think a business that is devoted soley to eyebrows as part of their title would know what they were doing--WRONG!! You walk in and it part of some cluster of stores with 1 entrance--very fleamarket feel--first ding. Then you walk into a cramped atmosphere with hundreds of eyeshadows opened and it seemed like Maro was wearing them all herself--second ding. I told Maro what i was looking for a sculpted arch--and SHE LECTURED me as to what was right for me--3rd ding. Next she spent very little time working on my eyebrows and when she told me I was finished I was disappointed at the very least--4th ding. She spent the whole time talking about he she worked and knew Charles Ifergan and left because he did not understand her (rolling my eyes--please)--5th ding and then finally she charged me $45....that's right...an outrageous price!!!! She should not be allowed to practice. read more

I have been going to Maro for my brows for 7 years and I agree with Gina that I would not let anyone else near them!! I never realized how much a nicely shaped brow changes your look, and takes years off your face if done correctly. Maro takes her time, and is a perfectionist. She waxes, tweezes, trims and works her magic! Who ever knew there was so much to it all, but there is!! On top of it, she's an amazing woman! Don't hesitate, just go! read more

I have been going to Maro for years! On my first visit she shaped my brows and did a complete makeup application. I continue to purchase her products as well as having her maintain my brows. Make an appointment. You won't regret it. read more

I've been going to Maro for my eyebrows for 5+ years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. She also did my makeup for my wedding it was natural and looked amazing in my pictures. I highly recommend you go, you will never go anywhere else. read more

I caution folks not to go here. She does NOT know what she is doing. I went in today and she started waxing - right away I guess my skin had an allergic reaction. Probably because her items are not clean. (I do waxing and facials all the time at Bliss and many other spas). She started lecturing me and complaining. AS she kept working on my face. She immediately stopped the waxing and started tweezing. But she was angry and she was working so quick I didn't have time to respond. I told her I could leave. She said she would finish what she started but in her words, "I have a million clients and if I had to tweeze them all my hands would kill me. You are taking some kind of medication because people don't react that way to waxing." I confirmed with her I am not on medication but it made be realize - of course she should be asking some pre-questions. She asked if I used any products and I said of course. I am a woman - I use items to wash my face, moisturizer, make-up, etc. She was horrible. My right eye above the brow is swollen. She told me to keep applying Neosporin and it should be fine in a day or two. She then had enough nerve to say I had to pay more because I caused her too much time. She charged me $50 and when I pulled out a credit card (I knew to pay where there would be a transaction trace because I will report her to BBB) she laughed and rolled her eyes. She should not be in business. Please spread the word because she does not deserve a license to work. I hope this is helpful to others. read more
