We visited on a sunny day in early May around 11:30 AM. Not everything was fully in bloom yet, but the greenery, trees, shrubs, and gardens were absolutely beautiful and created such a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Parking is a bit limited, but we were able to find a spot fairly quickly. The grounds were easy to walk, beautifully maintained, and full of great photo spots. I also loved the maze garden area and the small reading/sunroom space, which added such a charming touch. I even saw people having picnics, and it immediately made me want to come back and do the same. Only small thing to note: we did notice some poison ivy in certain areas, so just be mindful. Overall, easy to get to, peaceful, and absolutely worth visiting. Already looking forward to coming back in June when everything is in full bloom.

There is even a place for you to relax and have lunch or a snack outside, as there are outdoor bistro tables for you to use. Then there are all the wonderful services they offer! Let me count the ways. 1. Plenty of free programs are offered both in-person or via Zoom. 2. Plenty of free books, audio, DVDs, magazines, and e-books & e-audios are offered to check out, provided you return them on time. 3. Your books are loaned out for 21 days with the exception of the New books, and audios. 4. Did I mention they offer free museum passes to various museums, including Battleship in Camden, New Jersey. 5. There is a Notary on-premises 6. Offers you one-to-one personal training with technology. 7. Did I mention their services are free? What's the catch, you ask, just become a member of their library. If you live in the town, membership is FREE! If you want to become a member because you do not live in town, the fee is $75 per cardholder for anyone 64 years and younger. 3/24/26: To begin, I'd like to thank all the veterans who've served our country…read more -The NJ Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a museum that everyone should visit and learn about history. - My first visit was about two weeks ago on a Tuesday. According to the website they're open on Tuesdays. However, when we arrived, it was closed. So we walked the grounds and observed the outside monuments. (The website only mentioned of an event at 5 PM that day). -On Tuesday March 24th, I telephoned the museum only to receive a recording of scheduled hours and some other info. I did leave my telephone number for the manager to return my call. I didn't want to drive almost 40 miles down to Homdel, just to find out they were closed again on a Tuesday. Never received a call back. -However, I'm not going to let this issue detract from my rating this time. - Anyway, it was a beautiful day and we decided to take a drive down to the museum. (Luckily, they were open). -The museum has several beautiful and poignant monuments honoring the veterans upon entering the building. -During our visit, we sat in a large circle within the larger museum circle with a large high school group. About six Vietnam veterans told us their stories. Each story was so emotional moving. - Most of the museum is a circular building. Best description of the museum is as follows: The lower wall portion has wars and political events. It begins around the time of World War I and finishes at the end of the Vietnam War. -The upper wall half has US Culture photos and written info. that correspond to the lower wall. For example: The TV show "All in the Family" , Gloria Steinem (Women's rights advocate) and President Nixon were displayed above the Vietnam War. -In the back, there's a meditation garden dedicated to the women who served during Vietnam War. All the outside grounds are beautifully maintained. -The museum does have a gift shop. -Allow yourself a minimum of one and a half hours to throughly see the entire museum. -The NJ Vietnam Veterans Memorial Museum is located off the Gardenstate Parkway Exit #116 next to the PNC Arts Ctr. Holmdel, NJ.

#ThankyouThursday…read more.. It's certainly not big and is located on the Grounds of the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel , New Jersey. The actual museum itself is closed but one can park in their lot these days. Take a stroll on down the path to this Memorial. It's almost like an amphitheater. Full circle of the 1500 plus Jersey residents that perished in the Vietnam War. The 365 actual stones are dates that I believe for every day of our calendar year. Much respect for all those souls that served our country. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area. Would like to come back when the museum is open again.

We literally couldn't believe we were at the exit. On top of that the traffic directing was terrible and confusing. Signs were not clear and people directing the traffic were sending people out of the light show when there was still more to see. We almost accidentally left the show even earlier because the person was sending people out towards the village. Luckily I noticed and stayed in line. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend the show anymore and we won't be returning.
