Atkins Auto Deals

This is the worse auto purchase and dealership I've ever had. The dealer lied about the SUV from…read morethe get go. The only thing they possibly did was detail it. I could have gone a better job myself. Here's the story. An acquaintance I briefly knew, knew I was in need of a vehicle. Coincidentally it was similar to what I had years prior. She thought she could just sign the vehicle it over to me. She had decided to buy another vehicle elsewhere due to nose the escape made. She took her time giving me a ride out to Luray, VA to pick up the vehicle she had returned by tow truck telling then a lie. She didn't know when a vehicle has a lien you have to go through a "new purchase." She misquoted the financials to me. I am on a fixed budget and have a mentally challenged disability. When we got to the dealer. They had the paperwork all ready for me. It was 100. more per month than quoted. I was stuck I couldn't leave this place I was 2 hours away from my home. No buses, car rentals, etc. she told me she was going to visit her mom she couldn't take me. I was stuck I had no choice but to drive that vehicle home to Arlington, VA. The previous owner knew there was a problem with the right front area. Latter I found out she had gone to Midas to get it looked at. She came back bringing her own parts. The manager told her to leave. Why the vehicle was at the dealer they said they could not find nothing wrong with it and it passed inspection. Shortly after driving the vehicle it started smoking in the right front area. It also pulled to the ground. I barely made it to a parking space. It lost power. I sat there trying to figure out my next step. Eventually the vehicle started and I parked it in my space less than a mile away. I called the dealer and they wanted me to bring it back out. It had been there almost a month prior why wasn't this found.. I can't drive back to Luray as this stuck me as a safety issue. I had it towed to koons ford after looking around but also being jerked around. Thank goodness for my stimulus the repair was 1400.00. They also did a diagnostic. One day while at my cat colony the vehicle wouldn't start. The main reason I needed a vehicle was to get to my cat colonies at a distance from my home. I looked on the ground and found a broken serpentine belt. I had to call a tow truck to get it towed to get I was going back to Koons ford but the tow truck driver said a gas station he knew well could replace it for 1/2 the price of Koons. I repaired it there. I called the dealer and said this vehicle has too many repairs I wanted to return it. Along with all these expensive repairs I still needed to make a 278. Monthly payment and my full coverage insurance. This was in September. I was told she'd have it picked up. The escape was not picked up. It sat in my parking slot for 2 months. So I decided okay maybe they are giving me the escape ( haha) so I started using it again to get to my cats. Shortly than after the vehicle started misfiring, shaking, loosing power. Do I get it repaired or what? I took it back to koons. This time it was another 1100. repair. The good thing about koons is they drop and pick you up to and from the dealer. The next day the vehicle was gone. I lost so much money and I borrowed to pay for part of these repairs. It put me in a bad position. I only get 1214. A month from SSDI. Thank goodness for the stimulus checks. During this time of struggling ti fix the vehicle I believe I missed and insurance payment. I got a letter from Richmond DMV about needing now an SR22., just great. I have had nothing but bad luck since I test drive that vehicle here in my hometown. The guy I walked to at Midas told me not to buy it. I should have listened. This should have been labeled a "mechanics special." I have spoke to the owner of Atkins auto a Shannon Atkins. she said these are normal where and tear and that I wanted something for nothing. After all the work I had done, the stress of paying for these repairs and trying to find the money. I paid almost 3,000., 900. Down payment. I wanted my money back or a portion. She laughed at me. I've had other things going on in my life and it's been about 8 months. I walking, taking the bus, Uber occasionally because I carry a lot to go feed the colony cats. Honestly. I need this money back so I can get a newer vehicle with a warranty. The escape I bought was a 2011 Ford Escape limited. The thing is I really did like it just not the continuing ongoing repairs that should have been fixed prior me taking possession. I dint think they did anything ti it while it was at the dealership for almost a month. I would never buy from Atkins Atkins and I tried not too. But was stuck. I should contact the disability people as I was trapped.

I bought a 2010 Toyota RAV4 in September 2022 for $9995 from Edinburg Motors. It was truly…read moreoverpriced. I actually cosigned for my granddaughter and tried to talk her out of it because the brakes were bad and the paint was peeling on the hood and panels. The inspection sticker was expired and we did insist on a new inspection being performed before we would purchase. Well, a new sticker was on it when we came back and the brakes had been repaired. There was the inspection list sheet in the glove box that it had passed. When it was time for inspection again, it would not pass (we had put less than 4000 miles on it that year). It seems all the cables of the emergency brake were broken. We were told there was a very strong possibility that they were broken when we purchased the car because all three would not likely break at the same time. It was apparent that a sticker had been put on without checking everything. It should have failed. They didn't want to have to pay to repair anything else! They did talk my granddaughter into an extended warranty that covers not much of anything. I've been trying to cancel that for nearly three months now but no one replies to me. The car had 163500 miles when purchased and we still have put less than 10000 miles in over two years on it. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

It was not a Laramie Limited or Longhorn Trim. So i offer $30000. They insisted in finance instead of cash. I said no. No finance. I dont want add ons or hidden fees or unnecessary markups. They continue to hassle for more money on this vehicle that was not worth the price. Because i did not finance, they said no. They would not do cash. ALERT EVERYONE, DEALERS WANT FINANCE SO THEY CAN ROB YOU OF EXTRA STUFF YOU DONT NEED DURING THE FINAL SIGNUP. IF THEY HASSLE YOU WALK AWAY LIKE I DID. THEY ARE DISHONEST DEALER LIKE THIS ONE.

Run by two of the nicest gentleman I have met, and that is it, they do it all from the time you walk in the door till they hand you the keys, you dont deal with anyone else. I would definitely recommend checking them out, especially if you are tired of the old way dealerships "do business"

It was quick, they explained everything, they gave me ample time to test drive, and the paper work process was very transparent. I felt very comfortable doing business with them. Two days after driving the car off the lot, the car wouldn't start. I got it towed and found out it had a blown head gasket! I was shocked and very concerned this would end up as one of those nightmare stories about used car dealers. I had bought the car as is, so while I couldn't expect them to do anything I felt like I had been wronged. After explaining the situation to Khaled at Bingo Motors, he assured me that this was not who they are as a company. He then took the car back and dumped $3000 worth of repair into the vehicle to remedy the engine. He didn't charge me an additional dime. I was blown away by their professionalism and integrity! I've had the car now for several weeks and it drives perfect. I would definitely do business with them again.
