I was seated right away and ordered a happy hour glass of red wine. Since it was an Irish Pub, I had to try their Irish Potato Soup. The soup came out just hot enough and was topped with chives, bacon and cheese. It was a very good soup and packed with potato chunks. I ordered the McCarthy's Pub Steak, a 10 oz. strip loin, which was topped with rosemary compound butter, served with a side of heavenly mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was delightful, and although slightly overcooked, it was still a very good steak. The Green beans were fresh and firm and cooked perfectly, and were a great accompaniment to the steak. On their beer menu, I noticed they carried a Canadian beer from Unibroue Brassery in Quebec, which I thought was really cool. Overall, great food, service and happy hour specials and of course Canadian Craft Beer too !

She brought our drinks out and took our food order as soon as we were ready. We ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls, a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, french onion soup, and boneless wings with their hottest sauce. After the order was in for a few mins, the waitress came out to tell us they were out of eggrolls. I was bummed because that's what I was most looking forward to. The other food came out in about 15 mins. My boyfriend loved the french onion soup and he said his boneless wings were actually very spicy. He has a high spicy tolerance and these truly had some heat. My buffalo chicken cheesesteak reminded me of home (Philly) a little. The roll was a bit too soft for my preference, but the chopped chicken and cooper sharp cheese were perfect. The ambiance was of your typical sports bar, but it was decorated well and they had a good bit of TVs available.

I thought you were the merchant since you're the one selling me the gas?!? And shouldn't your mom be there if she's the only one who can handle a customer service complaint?!? POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE Edit: Been 3 days now and I'm out of gas. My bank says the merchant has it on hold for 5 days, not sure how I'm getting to work because I'm now out of gas and my account is -$75 with the $250 being taken out and not replaced by Buch's truck stop. I've heard of a $75-$100 hold, but really?? $250 pending AFTER you took out your $48 and got paid??. If you don't have my money, I don't have it, and my bank doesn't have it, then where is it? I didn't have this issue BEFORE going to Buch's Truck Stop, so I'll let you decide who's at fault here. All I wanted was gas

i wouldn't really call this a truck stop, it's more of a diner with truck parking. they do have…read moresome pumps, but i wouldn't trust those. the whole place has an 80's horror movie vybe. probably one of the worst truck stops I've stopped at. they close at night & have an outhouse for after hours potty use. there isn't really any typical convenience store items available inside, there's no shelves or anything. like i said, its kind of just a little diner with 4 or so tables. the smallest building i have ever seen open to the public. the bathroom is just a single room, so if you have to poop there's going to be a line of angry locals waiting outside/beating on the door. also the bathroom seems to be directly connected to the kitchen somehow. it's not really a comfortable situation to be in. it's really just a dilapidated shack that people live in above the building. if you are looking for a diner that you can park at, maybe try. if you are looking for a truck stop to do a reset, id look elsewhere. they are probably in violation of several health codes, so idk if i'd eat the food.

Everything came out quickly, including the bone-in wings that the menu noted would take at least 20 mins to prepare. All of the food was fresh, hot, and crispy. The wings were fried to perfection and still so crispy when they got out to me. I didn't think the sauce was very flavorful. So, I'd definitely try a different one next time. My boyfriend enjoyed his wings and hot dog. This was my first time in and I was impressed with the local sports memorabilia covering the walls and the numerous tvs spread throughout the two separate dining areas.
