Perfect place for travelers to explore and try some bites all in one spot - no need for travel so the prices work out. Beautiful flowers and tasty pastries. A good cup of coffee too. Everyone there was nice and welcoming towards visitors and I was grateful. They also have a film photo booth for a keepsake! The Bavarian mac is to live for

Decent food hall. It's overrated from what I expected. They have some decent international food. The bao was good and so was the Alsace flamm Kuchen. I do NOT recommend the Currywurst at this food court. It was very expensive and the sausage wasn't good.

Must visit when in Berlin!! There are so many different authentic food options. We had some amazing Bao's. I really loved the wine bars they had. You are able to walk around with the wine glasses. I thought that was really cool and unique.

It's a nice market with all sorts of venders, including fresh produce. Decided to buy a margarita pizza at Sironi and it was just okay. Too much dough and not enough toppings and light on sauce, making it dry.

Great place to get street food of all kinds on a Thursday. Very busy but not overcrowded.

This was our first destination upon arriving in Berlin...hungry. We tried the tofu burgers and they were good. The gentleman preparing the tofu burgers was very friendly and made each with care. He listened carefully to my personalizations (no mayo), which I appreciate. You can choose the color of bun for your burger. I wasn't sure which color was what but I tried the black one because that's fun. My second choice for food was the meatballs which had flavors from different parts of the world. Maybe I was full but I didn't think those meatballs were quite as delicious. They come with a slice of bread with spread. Those were just ok and you should try them if you've had everything else. The matcha cookie looked interesting but it turned out to be an oily cookie with matcha. It wasn't as satisfying as it looked but I'm still glad to have tried it. The beer from the beer place was good and they have a lot of options. The bathroom is clean. We went in the time between lunch and dinner so unfortunately some places weren't open.

Adorable logo for the fresh oyster stand.

During my first ever visit to Berlin, I made it a personal mission to see as much street art and visit as many food halls as possible. The urban Markthalle Neun did not disappoint. Located in the hip area of Kreuzberg, this is a must-visit stop if you're a foodie. An open warehouse vibe is punctuated with dozens of small food stands, from fresh oysters to cheese to roasted on-site coffee to cakes and fresh pasta. You can eat well here for little money, making it a great place to stretch your budget. There are lots of local German foodstuffs, and every single person we encountered was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have inquisitive tourists around. Since I had to pace myself on my eat-it-all day in Berlin, I opted for a plate of fresh oysters from a seafood stand, followed up by a piece of intoxicating carrot ginger cake from Aunt Benny (I couldn't resist its sugary charms). Everything was tasty and I lamented all the goodies I didn't have a chance to sample. Next time!

Go on Thursday evening for the street food festival, the vibe is amazing! The Tibetan momos are a must try in my opinion and was super good.

One can't go wrong with a food marketplace! It wasn't open with stalls available to test try when I dropped by, but it was the marketplace that you would see when in public and perusing by for groceries and food eateries! Vendors are of variety! Good place to be when out and about on a sunny day!

A great place to grab lunch in Berlin. There are lots of local vendors who offer fresh, delicious food. Plenty of variety, and prices are pretty reasonable. We opted for focaccia bread and fresh squeezed juice, but enjoyed wandering around to see (and smell!) all the options.

My brother took us here for the weekend breakfast market and it was awesome! I joke that Berlin is one big Brooklyn and sure enough they've got a weekend market just for brunching all day! It totally reminded me of Smorgasburg. We got lattes (mind you, the neighboring vendor jokingly chastised me for opting for a flat white over his nitro cold brew ) and surveyed the food options. Bf wanted a French toast and I tried a savory plate of lentils, veal tongue, and poached egg. Both were pretty good but the highlight of the visit was the best lemon sfogliatella I've had ever! After our 'main course' we wanted dessert and bf got an almond croissant and a second espresso while I went and got mini sfogliatella. It was so good that I didn't want to share so I went back and got another! Really wish, I remembered which vendor it was because I would love to have it again next time I'm back in Berlin!

Great variety of food options and wasn't disappointed with anything I tried. The place with the fresh pasta was delicious and if I wasn't nearing the weight capacity in my suitcase, I would have bought a sauce or two of theirs to take home.

The decidedly gritty vibe suits the neighborhood and the market well. The open space is jam-packed with different food booths that serve everything from Chinese food to healthy cookies to fresh seafood to local currywurst sausages. Whatever you're hungry for, you'll likely find it here. We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon when the place was packed with locals. There were some tourists of course, but this didn't feel like a destination that catered to out-of-towners. We ended up making two booth stops: the first for coffee and a freshly baked oatmeal cookie, and then for a sausage and local beer. I enjoyed my espresso and cookie, and it was a great treat to start the day. Hubby loved the currywurst stand! It is worth noting the sausage place was packed with friendly locals, all eager to strike up conversations in broken English. We even asked a nice couple which beer we should get and took their recommendation (it was delicious). Always chat up the local patrons if they are willing to talk to you. The food here looked high quality, was cheap, and had a nice assortment. Definitely worth a stop if you're interested in putting together your own foodie tour of Berlin.

Compared to local shops, the fresh fruits and vegetables are much cheaper, and sometimes even better quality. A recent trip yielded avocados, pumpkin, and arugula, and that was a show of restraint. There's so much more to be had, including meats and cheeses, snacks from food stands, practical household items, fabrics and craft-y things, clothing and jewelry, and more. Check it! The one disadvantage is the tight quarters. I'm used to markets with rows and rows and plenty of space, and this one is just along the sidewalk. The side up against the water is particularly crowded, with stalls on either side, making it a bit of an annoyance to walk through all the people. The flow of the crowd is generally smooth, albeit slow-going, but every once in awhile you'll find the stallers, who stand directly in front of what you're interested in and spend five minutes discussing the pros and cons of buying it. If you know what you want to get, this is a perfect place to go. However, if you're looking for a leisurely experience spent strolling up and down the market, go somewhere else.
