Also the pharmacy I wouldn't dare get a prescription filled here. The pharmacy is very rude and nasty. I would rather go to cvs or gentry across the street. Also it's a very hit or miss store. Some days you can go in and find every item you need and some days you might not find a single item. The only reason I go to this Publix is the connivence to my house.

I know they have made some changes since it first opened, but it did feel sort of less cluttered. I say that because while the aisles felt wider, the produce less crammed, and a back corner reconfigured, I still have never mastered the art of shopping Trader Joe's. The placement of items seems so random to me, and unituitive. Why are there peanut butter cups and harissa above frozen vegetables? Why are cookies over nearly everything frozen from dinner entrees to breakfasts? It can be a little frustrating for 'compartmental shoppers.' If you want fresh flowers, make sure you go early in the day for the best selection. And if you're going for flowers near the end of the week, be also forewarned that a number of church flower guilds use TJ to create and/or supplement their weekly arrangements because TJ gets some unique flowers in smaller bunches at decent prices.

We liked to get the Too Good To Go bags they offer - look it up, definitely worth trying out, they're just hard to get since they go so fast. This store probably has the best sushi offerings of the group. They also stock some of the higher-end prepared foods among the stores. The frozen pizza selection is huge.

I enjoy walking around and seeing all the fun packaging (I tell myself I'm not falling for marketing gimmicks, just appreciating good design). The had some chicken breast and coffee creamer on BOGO free deals that I scooped up. The people at the check-out lines are always so nice. I believe there's a discount for UAB employees, too.

The asparagus came in a bag to be microwaved and the mashed potatoes just needed to be warmed. Wished the asparagus were actually prepped with the ends removed. Not sure if my husband and I will do this again. Will probably piece meal the parts together and prep the meat and veggies appropriately since we have to cook it all anyway. The chocolate heart desserts were the best part.

Convenient parking although it is adjacent to the elementary school which can be a challenge during certain times of the day. As others have noted, the deli is pretty good. The best breakfast version still belongs to the Lakeview locale. Like most of the Piggly Wigglies, the checkout is quick and efficient. See my review of the Liberty Park on why they win this feature though. The other nice element is the outdoor seating, which I have never really taken advantage of, but it is nice. The wine shop is set-off on its own, so that is good. With that said, it isn't as nice as the Publix in MBV, which is not as nice as its predecessor the Western in the same space. I miss people walking around drinking wine whilst they shop.
