I was looking to get my engagement ring insured through Jewelers Mutual and found this jewelry…read morestore on their website. They are listed as GIA trained and certified so I trusted taking my GIA diamond ring to them. I first called in to see if their appraisal specialist was there and found out it is a family owned jeweler and the son is a GIA trained diamond specialist, he was very kind over the phone and welcomed me to come in same day for an appraisal. He not only did appraisals, but ring cleaning and rhodium plating if needed during the process. The store is located in a cute little shopping center with a simply elegant storefront. The store is very secure and safe with two locked doors to enter and exit. We were met by the son, Michelangelo, who was very pleasant to work with. He explained the process to me and that he could do everything right now in front of me. This was a huge relief because a lot of jewelers say you drop off your diamond and they will call you to come back when the appraisal is complete. I did not feel comfortable leaving my diamond with anyone, but Michelangelo assured me everything would be done right in front of me. He pulled out his microscope to read my GIA number on the side of my diamond and even let me look through the lenses to show me where my number was located as well. The entire process took about 10 min, which was extended longer because we were talking so much and he was teaching me about my diamond. He said he does a lot of custom pieces so we talked about a custom wedding band for my fiancé. Overall, very pleased with this experience. Michelangelo was extremely knowledgeable and had great customer service. I highly recommend Geneva Jewelry not only for jewelry appraisals, but for beautifully crafted custom jewelry pieces.

I simply came in to ask what was the average cost to resize a ring was. I was on my lunch from work…read moreand I do not have the ring with me. I understand they could not give me an accurate price without physically seeing the ring but the attitude and looking at me like I'm a joke is bizarre. A simple price range even if a wide range would've sufficed. Because of this unnecessary attitude I will not be coming back here. There were no customers present and it appeared to be a slow day, so all the extra attitude was unnecessary

I just took my watch to Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs, paying $149.95 for a hand adjustment,…read morenew stem, and their "watch spa" service. When I picked up the watch, it initially seemed fine, but once I examined it in better lighting outside, the poor quality of the work was obvious. The inside of the glass had visible fog and streaks, and the watch looked dirty overall. I immediately went back to ask them to take another look, even questioning whether the "watch spa" service had been done. The employee assured me it was completed and that the difference would be noticeable in the cleanliness of the links. She told me more cleaning would require an additional polishing service. (Putting a watch in an ultrasonic cleaner for 5 minutes shouldn't cost $49.95.) However, after further inspection, the watch had new fingerprints and scratches on the hands, no noticeable cleaning, and was missing the o-ring for the watch back. The quality of the work was extremely disappointing. I should've noticed the warning signs sooner. The watches on display inside the store are Chinese look-alikes for more expensive brands. For example, all the CURREN watches they have in the ROLEX cabinet for $200+ can be found online for less than $30. At $25 an hour, I worked six hours to pay for this repair, but they spent less than 90 minutes and returned subpar work. I definitely would not recommend this shop if you're expecting quality service or fair pricing. To be fair, they did swap out the stem like I asked them to. If you need a battery replaced, they'd probably do a good job, that's the 2 stars. But so would the guy at the swapmeet. And you wouldn't pay $150 for it. UPDATE: They replaced the stem with a stem from Swiss Legends. Chinese POS parts. They should at least give me my Noma III crown back! I'm a pretty fair guy. I took it back to let them take another shot at it. A quick swipe with an alcohol wipe and a "stop bitching about it" look and I had all I could take from this shop. I'm glad it was an Invicta and not my Seiko Chrono or Grand Seiko. Everyone out here trying to rip everyone else off.

Don't come here and make the same mistake we did. they absolutely butchered this brand new ring I…read morebrought in to be resized. the amount of abrasions and dings is ridiculous for such a small task. from a 7 to a 6.5, a .5 difference. I'm no expert but come on now how do you mess up this bad? this is definitely an example of carelessness and unprofessionalism. there's even wear in places that shouldn't have been touched. their jeweler should not be a handling peoples possessions if he doesn't take pride into his craft. I can't believe they looked at it, said this looks good to me, and called us to pick it up. The worst part is no one took ownership and apologized. lesson learned, let my mistake be a lesson to future customers. do your research.
