Not only did he custom make a ring in a WEEK, but he guaranteed the setting of the diamonds, sized it specifically for me (I'm a 1/4 size), and made a 22g 14k gold ring for an unbelievable price. I no longer have to go places and guess how much I am getting ripped off. I will be back for anything and everything to do with jewelry and I suggest you give this place a try as well!

I then politely asked if he would mind using a new replacement battery I had brought with me, explaining that I had difficulty opening the watch casing on my own. Instead of simply declining or offering an explanation, the owner took my new battery and threw it directly into the trash right in front of me. Strike two. If this treatment is typical of the vendors at the Moreno Valley Mall, it's easy to see why the Mall is struggling. They are listed as GIA trained and certified so I trusted taking my GIA diamond ring to them. I first called in to see if their appraisal specialist was there and found out it is a family owned jeweler and the son is a GIA trained diamond specialist, he was very kind over the phone and welcomed me to come in same day for an appraisal. He not only did appraisals, but ring cleaning and rhodium plating if needed during the process. The store is located in a cute little shopping center with a simply elegant storefront. The store is very secure and safe with two locked doors to enter and exit. We were met by the son, Michelangelo, who was very pleasant to work with. He explained the process to me and that he could do everything right now in front of me. This was a huge relief because a lot of jewelers say you drop off your diamond and they will call you to come back when the appraisal is complete. I did not feel comfortable leaving my diamond with anyone, but Michelangelo assured me everything would be done right in front of me. He pulled out his microscope to read my GIA number on the side of my diamond and even let me look through the lenses to show me where my number was located as well. The entire process took about 10 min, which was extended longer because we were talking so much and he was teaching me about my diamond. He said he does a lot of custom pieces so we talked about a custom wedding band for my fiancé. Overall, very pleased with this experience. Michelangelo was extremely knowledgeable and had great customer service. I highly recommend Geneva Jewelry not only for jewelry appraisals, but for beautifully crafted custom jewelry pieces.

Broken chains, poor customer service. Within one week, the chain broke, I brought it in and the staff remembered me and gave me five dollars off my repair. About three weeks later, the chain broke again in the same place and I brought it back in for repair. The staff was apologetic and repaired the chain again for an additional discount. About three weeks later, the chain broke again and I drove in again for repair. I wear two chains on my neck and my second chain, purchased from somewhere else, has never broken even one time, though it is thin and the exact same length as the chain that has had many issues. I returned to the business for the third time, driving about 30 miles, and shared what happened with the staff. I was told they would fix the chain for free, and when I asked about trading the chain and purchasing something heavier for more money, I was told I would only be given a fourth of the value of this chain, though it was recently purchased, and they are aware of all the issues I've had. I did not feel this was fair and conveyEd this to the owner and we got in a pretty intense conversation. He told me that he would not take any responsibility for what had happened and that I must be a fault for the issue with the chain, though I described to him in context what I laid out above. He was condescending, saying I don't know about jewelry and not being empathetic or showing value toward me as a customer. I expressed my disappointment, and when I said that I thought that we had cultivated a better business to customer relationship, he told me it was all about the numbers. I will not return, the exchange was embarrassing, and I understand that you get what you pay for, and should recognize where you are. As minorities, I thought we could relate in this way, and show a better regard for one another, but their treatment showed me otherwise.
