I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience with the manager or owner--an older gentleman--at this business. He was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction. I was charged a total of $59.32--$32+ for a battery replacement and $20 to remove one link from my watch. I was not provided with a receipt; when I asked for one, he claimed it was sent to my phone, but I never received it. Additionally, when he returned the removed link, he failed to include the original post. When I brought this to his attention, he replaced it with a stainless steel post instead of the original yellow gold one. When I asked about the original part, he responded in a sarcastic and hostile manner, saying, "I stole it and I will sell it to someone else." He then attempted to look for it, but was unable to find it, and again gave me a replacement that was not the original. I accepted it just to avoid further confrontation and to leave the situation as quickly as possible. I feel I was overcharged for basic services and treated with a complete lack of respect. I will not be returning to this business and cannot recommend it to others based on this experience. read more

I was referred here from another place in the mall because they couldn't change the battery on my watch....well they didn't have the proper tools to put the backing back on, so they couldn't do it. They referred me to Tic Tock and Bay side. Tic was still closed, so I went to Bay side. I was greeted and helped immediately and I waited about 5 mins for my watch battery to be changed. I also was able use the check in offer, for 20% a battery replacement....so that brought my total down from $10 to $8. I'm a sucker for a discount, so that makes me all the more happier that I went to this place.....satisfied customer!!! read more

$10 to adjust a watch band. Speidel Twist-o-flex band adjusted in a few minutes and fits perfectly. Easy payment with card using Square, with an automatic emailed receipt. The owner, Dale Adel, is very friendly and cheerful. It is no wonder that he has stayed in businesses here for close to 30 years now, despite having at least 3 competitors just in this mall. Watch out for the similarly named Bay Jewelers right across from his store--they are unaffiliated and might try to lure you in. The mall is nearby Costco. The store is located on the first floor of the mall, across from Forever 21. Would return for any watch repairs. read more

I received a Bulova watch almost 30 years ago for graduating from nursing school. Other than needing a new battery it was perfect. This year the mechanical part broke (not unexpected after so many years). I love the watch and the back is engraved so I wanted to keep it instead of replacing it. First I went to a local store and they quoted me $150 to replace the mechanical part. Another store said that it was too old to get a replacement part. A third local store referred me to Bayside watch which is about 45 minutes from where I live. I decided to take a picture of the watch and email it to Bayside watch since I didn't have time to drive there and risk being told that they couldn't fix it. I received an answer back in less than 2 days from Dale who said he could fix it for about $80. I went there (a little difficult to find in the mall as there are other similar places next door and across the way and I almost went into the wrong one) and waited while Dale waited on another customer. I liked that he gave the other customer different options and was not pushy or trying to upsell anything. I had a feeling that he was honest in what he was telling the customer. When it was my turn he remembered my email, checked the watch, kept it until the replacement part came in. I dropped it off on a Saturday and by Monday (only 2 days!) I received a call that it was ready for pick up. Not only did he fix it, he replaced the tattered band and the scratched glass on the front. It almost looks like a brand new watch! I'm extremely happy with the service, the price and Dale. I will definitely go there again should I ever need anything watch related and can highly recommend Bayside watch. read more

I took my Rolex to him and he did not fix it. He changed out the real Rolex band and kept it using a fake band. He also took the Real Diamonds on the face and exchanged them out for glass! Please confirm the authenticity of your name brand products because he is known to switch things and lose your jewelry like he did my bracelet! Dale is very unprofessional and has a big attitude problem. On top of this, he claims he knows about Rolex watches but doesn't. I took in a Rolex submariner to get checked if it was real by him and he immediately told me it was fake. I asked how can you be so sure just by looking at it, and he replied, "if there was a hot girl standing behind you, and you asked me if there was, that's how sure I would be". Wierdest analogy. I asked him if he could show me something specific that shows the watch is fake and he didn't want to, he was just like "I'm 110% sure it's fake, I have over 15 years of experience." A couple days later I took the same rolex submariner to fast fix jewelery & watch repair in Tyler mall, and I paid for them to authenticate it, they opened the casing, checked every rolex part and movement and they said it is 100% real Rolex Submariner. Dale does not know how to check Rolex watches so don't go to him. Also, he tried making fun of me in front of another customer saying, "look at this guy, he bought a Rolex watch thinking it was real and it's fake. Don't be like this guy" and shook his head while looking at me. In the end I'm glad I went somewhere else legit to get my watch checked. This guy only knows his stuff on lower tier watches, stick to that , and don't claim you're a professional with Rolex watches. read more

I'm so disappointed of this place. What a bad service! I had him fix my Gucci watch last Feb, it's been almost 60 days, he never called me to update what's going on. 2 weeks after I gave him my watch, I drop by to see if it's done. He said to give him more time, and don't call him, he will call me. I waited several weeks, but no call from him. So yesterday I called to check on my watch, he couldn't find it, he doesn't know what I'm talking about. And then he said, he will call me back after 15minutes. He didn't call back after 15 minutes, so I called him after 1hour. He said the pickup number I gave him was noted from December! How could that be, I drop off the watch Feb 7. So I decided to go at his shop today so maybe he will remember me. I went there, and he kept on looking everywhere, and couldn't find my watch. So I said, I'll give him time to look and I'll be back in 30min. When I came back, I was expecting at least he will apologize for the wait and hustle, but nope! So he opened the watch, and I'm surprise to see an ugly fix watch. I was completely dissatisfied, so I told him I'm not happy with the screws he put in my watch, it doesn't match my watch at all. So I asked him if he can do better than that or just remove it. He removed it, and when he hand it back to me, my watch is worst. He added scratch and twisted it. I told him about it, but he just looked and shrug his shoulder and said good luck. Not even a simple sorry. Wow!. I swear this old guy have behavioral problem!! Never go to this place again. Service was super friendly and efficient. My mom needed a watchband and they had a large selection. The employee led us to the case that had the bands that were the right size/type for her watch and gathered other ones from around the stores that were similar, which saved us a lot of time. My mom and I both liked the band and the price was very reasonable (if you go, keep in mind that the price he charges is WAY below the MSRP on the price tag). I had with me a bracelet I had just purchased elsewhere that broke almost immediately after I bought it. I was considering returning it, but first asked if he could fix it. Love this guy! I've had him fix my digital watch that I had been shipping some place near Pasadena for years and waiting for weeks, for its return. He fixed it in less than 10 minutes! I brought him my cell phone cover which had metal flowers on it that had come unglued. He fixed them back on with glue he swears will never come off. I believe him! I brought an Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer , and Tudor Oysterdate "jumbo" for simple adjustments. Dale was very professional. He removed the links from the Speedmaster so it could better fit my wrist. He then tightened my Tudor's bezel because there was a gap that irritated me. Thank my OCD. Lol. Lastly, he opened my Tag to confirm its authenticity. Long story short, it turned out to be a Franken. Glad I had him check. This watch will be returned. And with all this work, the bill was shocking low. We discussed wrist watches for about 25 mins. Very friendly and knowledgeable individual.
