One of the few "Old School" Christmas tree lots left in Santa Rosa. They had great service and the experience was wonderful. The tree was fresh and lasted through New Year's and beyond. I just love this place! As a single mama of three, they made this experience so easy on me... The kiddos and I picked out our tree and then they handled everything else from there - including carrying the tree over to get a fresh cut and then tying it to the roof of my car. They will even put your stand on for you if you bring it with you. Perks for the kids - they created tree ring ornaments from the fresh cut that we could take home and decorate. They have complimentary hot apple cider and candy canes! This will be our place to go to each year! read more

First time going to this lot..we get our tree the day after thanksgiving..it's now a month old and is still drinking up lots of water and is still fresh. We took our 5 yo grandson with us to pick out a tree and explained that because it would be flocked, we'd have to wait to take it home. But they had a tent of flocked trees for sale and that really made our day! They drilled holes and cut the bottom and put it in our stand for us-great service all around. And the price was $100 less than we paid for our tree last year at a different lot. Very happy! Merry Christmas! read more

Marks christmas tree lot was a special and magical experience to welcome in the Christmas season. Reasonably priced, large and healthy Trees maintained by helpful and friendly staff. Very beautiful and wide variety of trees! So many' and some as cheap as $35!!! We found Marks after leaving Crazy Rudolph's just down the road... their prices were truly CRAZY! $105-$125 for every tree, the tree we found at Marks is bigger and was almost 50% less than at crazy Rudolph's. Marks staff helped us and provided a tree base, and had ornaments and free hot apple cider while waiting in line. Perfect one stop shop!!! This lot is owned by the former owners of Lazzini's, what was Santa Rosa's best deli, until they sold it off to some shmucks who ruined the place. Ooops, there I go. Back to the positive. Great selection of different types of trees. There are not a ton of trees here, but they are all in great shape, no bald spots or sections drying / dying off. I drove all the way from Roseville to get the great service that Mark's Christmas Trees provides. This is a family owned and operated establishment to which my family has gone to for years. They are now located on Santa Rosa Ave and have so much more room than when they were on West Third. When you enter you know you are getting a great deal for your money. The trees are divided by type of fir. My mom, sister and her boyfriend and myself all got a tree for a great deal. The staff is super helpful, and make sure that your tree will last as long as possible. When you enter entry to go pay for your tree, mistletoe and cute reindeer's you will find all the decorating needs and homemade arts and crafts to personalize your holidays. read more

We get our tree every year from Marks and have been generally happy. The family is great. This year however, the cost of the tree went up exponentially. I checked out Old Red in Windsor and their tree- the same size and type was $85 cheaper! Needless to say, we will not be returning next year. This is the second year we bought our tree from Mark's. The selection is amazing and we had ours up for three weeks and it was still drinking water until 4 or 5 days ago. We personally like Douglas Fir, it's cheap and Marks Tree Lot is not afraid to compete with corporate stores (been to a couple of places who stop carrying Douglas because they got intimidated by the big stores). We love this spot for our Christmas tree picking. Reasonable prices, happy people working there, and lots of Christmas spirit. You can tell this is a family operation and my son gets excited every year when we start seeing them set up the lot! They have adorable little crafts like tree stump reindeers and some neat wine cork holiday decor. I appreciate having a neat well thought out parking area and how kind everyone is. We go, pick a tree, and are generally singing carols on our way home in less than a half hour. Definitely recommend Marks if you're looking to support local business but not up for the prices of a cut it yourself farm. read more

I felt bad cause the guys were always so nice I asked my husband if we could start buying our family tree from them. They are always so nice! This place is great! We've gone here several years in a row. They moved and the location this year (2020) is new and even bigger. Everyone who works there is so nice, helpful and upbeat. They have all kinds of fun boutique holiday stuff near the cash register - wreaths, decorations, crafts. This year they were following all virus precautions - everyone masked, plexiglass barrier at check out. We look forward to going here each year. read more

I couldn't recommend this spot more. I had completely forgotten to review them when we got our tree in November. After driving out to a Christmas tree farm and finding very sparse, ugly, 3 foot tall trees for upwards of $150 we were a little jaded about getting a tree. We called all over trying to find somewhere that had trees over 8-9 feet. That's how we landed at Mark's. All of the employees were incredibly friendly and professional. They trimmed our tree, shook it out, and even mounted it in the stand for us before putting it on our car. This whole process took maybe 5 minutes. And required literally no effort from us. The tree was tied so well, we made it up Mt St Helena without the tree even budging. Also, the lady at the register was sweet as pie and making the most beautiful wreaths I've ever seen. Though we didn't get the tree chopping experience, this was an awesome experience overall and I would definitely recommend it. Also, the prices were super reasonable and there was a huge selection of trees! read more

I've gotten so used to people absolutely not giving a darn that my experience at Mark's Christmas Trees was a breath of fresh, pine-scented air. I had a wacky goal of getting a tree flocked in an unusual color such as a pink or orange or whatever. Well, since they have taste there, they don't have these. But the gentleman I spoke with was really helpful and directed me at a place that actually has floral paint so I could paint my poor and beautiful flocked tree in a horrible color. The whole team was just great like this, being very friendly and able to answer questions. Ultimately I chose a beautiful white-flocked Christmas tree which they had already ready. They bagged it up and gave me tips for keeping it ready for after the season and keeping the house mess-free. While they could have sold me a bunch of stuff I didn't need, they were very honest in their answers about stands and such and this kind of real customer service makes me actually not feel bad about paying more, although I think their prices are very fair. So ultimately the tree was so nice I couldn't bear to paint it a horrible color and now I have a beautiful, white-flocked Christmas tree in my living room window for all the neighbors to enjoy. I couldn't recommend this tree lot more highly, what a great group of people who just are honest and informative. At this time of year when we all wish everything were straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting, Mark's Christmas Tree lot is about as close as you can get to that idyllic world. Sip a hot cup of cider and maybe have a snack as you relax and look for your Christmas tree this year. The trees here are great and they have a nice variety to choose from, but what makes this tree lot shine is the awesome family feeling and friendliness you get from the owners and crew. The prices here are fair. They will shake, net, and load your tree for you. You don't have to do any real work until you get home. If you buy a stand here (cheaper than certain big box stores) they will mount your trees in that stand year after year at no cost. This year Mark only charged us the price difference between our old stand and a larger one that we needed for the gigantic tree we got this year. How awesome is that? You can't beat the service and genuine niceness of the people here. Come here once and you won't go to another tree lot again. read more

Ever since we started to buy Christmas trees, my husband and I have always gone to Mark's. First, because they were super close and I mean SUPER close(across the street) to us. Second, because they are beautiful trees for a good price (we went to the ones by sutter hospital OUCH in my pocket). Lastly, because they are always super friendly and have staff that put your tree on your car!!
