Bins is quieter and cooler than the other department stores. It's quite an original building with no escalators (lifts of course) and quite simple but effective decor. It's easily accessible from the high street, and it's right near Captain Cooks Square. The basement has a cafe and mens wear. The ground is makeup, accessories, shoes and bags (essential for us girls!). I would definitely recommend the shoe department here especially at sale time, there are some really nice shoes and heels often more than half price, I got some coast heels for about £70, a bargain I thought! The first floor is younger womens fashion with oasis, coast and warehouse, it's quite pricy usually but hit it at sale time for really good reductions, especially in the coast and warehouse sections. Childrens section is also on this floor. The second floor is older womens fashion but for the younger don't be put off as there are often some good bargains lurking about. The third floor is china, the fourth homeware and the fifth beds. It's a really nice organised shop with generally helpful staff. It's a very posh awe inspiring place but it's good to shop at, just make sure you look out for sale dates!

Lots of them are budget shops but I do think that is the same in most of the Shopping centres in Middlesbrough. Captian Cook square is a thriving busy shopping centre. During Christmas season it has hosted a lovely continental market. Here you will find Waterstones, Zavvi, Tk Max, Poundstretcher, the sony shop, Tj Hughues and not forgetting Greggs!! These are a few of the retailers you will find in the Square. Captain Cook square is very easy to locate and links up with the major shops in central Middlesbrough.

Anyway it's an ok little place. There's Gregs, Internacionale, Waterstones, TKMaxx, Alliance&Leicester, Greggs, JJB, a Boro shop, Zavvi and then some discount shops like Wilkinsons. There are also a few music and game shops. Llloyds and Yates are round here too as well as the bus station. It's freezing cold because the wind blows right through it and theres also a carpark nearby though I remain baffled by how to get to it. Generally it's worth looking round because there are some good shops here that aren't anywhere else in town. But other than that it's not too exciting.

The make up is especially good and you can often find some bargains for a pound that if you to Boots are more like £7/£8! The cafe is quite nice but expensive and you can better elsewhere! There are public toilets in here but you have to persuade a member of staff to let you in them as they've just put a code on them due to the abuse of them!

Often there are well known makes and these items are usually sold at better retail prices than in other shops.Staff are usually very friendly and helpful however they are not always easy to find when I tend to go in the shop during weekend opening hours and it tends to be busy with bargain hunters. The staff are all very polite and helpful, it does have a nice shoe selection with modern day shoes. Sales are the best time to go to USC, they're all at least half price and then they often are on buy one get one free as well. I got £160 worth of clothes for £40 - a dress and a coat. Some of the main shops it includes are Primark, Card Factory, Woolworth's, New Look, O2, 3 Mobile, Warren James, Principles, and Thornton's. You can access it by going through Marks and Spencer, Debenhams or Clinton Cards or by one of the other three entrances/exits. You can also travel from the Hill Street car park straight into the building. Also quite recently the Hill St got a La Senza and a Monsoon, welcome additions. However there are still a few empty retail units which are not very good to look at generally. At the centre of the shopping centre is a Gregg's with a large open seating area. All in all it is a nice shopping centre, clean and wide enough to weave through the crowds,

All VERY close together so it is easy to find something in a different size if the shop you're in does not have one. Warehouse is quite expensive to me, although I generally quite like their tailored looks and lace this season I find £50 min for a dress quite pricey so generally shop in sales here which are quite good and they have some great reductions. Warehouse does not do shoes apart from flip flops in summer. They stock a nice range on jewellery and often reduce it all to a pound in the sakes. I've always found the staff to be very helpful and polite and always offer advice if you need it.

This branch is all on one floor, and seems a bit jumbled to me. They sell clothing, shoes, bags, toys, ornaments etc. I always like to take a look in if I'm in the town centre, as I would hate to miss a bargain, and you CAN get bargains here, but you have to be lucky, and you have to be prepared to rummage for them! I personally find the clothing expensive, even though it is discounted. But they do carry a nice line in reduced price toys and games, although I don't think they have a big a selection at the Teesside Park branch. There always seem to be queues at the check outs, too.
