I strongly recommend against utilizing this law firm. I cannot in good faith recommend this law…read morefirm due to very poor service and excessive charging of said poor service. The attorney Steven Cohen disappeared from my case halfway through the process, and both Steven Cohen and attorney Allison Ramelson-Kert gave poor advice that nearly prevented me from achieving my goal in court. It was very disappointing to have Cohen and Ramelson-Kert offer no support to perform the final important services to help achieve my goal. Additionally, their billing department, specifically Keysy Gordon, is excruciatingly slow to respond and sends incomplete invoices. The experience with this law firm during an incredibly painful and traumatic time period only added to the pain. The value in this law firm is simply awful. Please stay away from this law firm. Save yourself further pain and wasted money during what is likely a trying time in your life.

I called first and he charged me for a consultation. I paid and he told me that they would take my case and to go to their office. I went there and met with him and a few others. They assured me that I had a case and they would help. One of the attorneys named David was in charge of my case. However, somewhere during my case, he was no longer there and another attorney took over. No one informed me of this. Then I randomly get a call from an attorney named Robert Schechter. He was extremely rude and condescending and sounded unhappy about having the case handed to him. Long story short, my case went on for over 5 years. He never checked in with me or updated me. I would have to email him to check in about once a year asking why my case is taking so long. He would either not reply or reply and say "nothing I can do." I basically had to check my case online on the court website to see what was going on. I saw that he kept agreeing to adjournments with the other attorneys but never informed me about them. Then after a while when I asked him about them - he said they were discussing a settlement. After I paid them a lot of money because they kept charging me for different things, I received another random invoice for over 5k. When I reached out to him to simply asked why I was being billed again, he replied and told me that if I didn't want to pay he was withdrawing the case. He never answered my question and he just continued to be rude and condescending whenever I would speak to him. When I sent him paperwork that I felt would help my case - he replied and told me not to send him anymore documents. I will leave it right here and say that he lost my case and didn't even care. Him and Peter said they would get back to me to discuss it further and none of them got back to me. Based on the reviews - it seems they are only interested and helpful when it is regarding a gun case. I don't recommend them and the way I was treated for the last five years was horrible. Not once did he ever reach out to me with an update. Lastly, the way I was treated was unprofessional and definitely UNACCEPTABLE!

I went to Will Forero for a personal problem regarding an issue with a problematic tenant…read more Unfortunately, he could not help me as there was a conflict of interest regarding that tenant. All was well and I thought that was the end of it. However, what I did not expect was for Mr. Forero to disclose what I had spoken to him in private to that tenant. Even if I was not a client yet, I went to him for advice and he broke confidentiality by speaking directly to that tenant. This was very unprofessional and does not set a good standard for his law practice. I will never be back and I hope future clients will take this review as a warning for his unethical practice. Edited: Not only is Forero unprofessional, he is a blatant liar. I have the email he sent me about the conflict of interest regarding my tenant. Now he is backtracking to cover his mistake.
