I understand SSA makes things difficult for approval, but I counted on Markoff and Mittman to help me get a better chance. I asked them for help to manage my first appeal, they did so, and that was it. I never got a follow up call or correspondence until I requested in several times. they are bad communicators, I called and no ones calls me back, important information is missed because they dont call you back on time. SSA denied me for the second time while I hired this attorney called the disability guys. they submit the appeal and do nothing else to prove your case or requested any new medical records. nothing. I did not need them at all for this I could have done it all on my own and get the same results. please beware. read more

Randy Jacobs and markhoff & Mittman (The disability guys), are horrible and bias. They would never meet me and to date, have never seen me and made me lose my case. I had to re open my case with the help of WCB legislators in Washington and I got my self paid. My injuries were bad and disfiguring to my face. Randy Jacob, who never met or seen me told the worker compensation that "I had no injuries" he is currently being sued. Lawyer grievance don't harm Jew attorneys who hurt black peopl. They never submitted anything for my case and hurt my case by this illegal delay. read more

Still have not closed my case, it has been 17+ yrs. Only gives important info after I initiate contact. They took a portion of my weekly benefits I received for 2 yrs. They do not have my best interests at heart. They refuse to quit. I get the feeling it is money related. I have had many surgeries. be careful who you choose to represent your disability claim . my wife had a serious injury at work . being it was a workman's comp injury she sought representation thinking it would help with the process. 4 years later a settlement was achieved however the law firm received a large chunk of change!!! looking back on her journey little to no actual help was obtained in helping her navigate the workman's comp world. in my opinion solely a complete waste of time. read more

Terrible - they sound great before you hire them, but I found that I could not count on them at all. Long story - I have too much to deal with from my injury to spend energy trying to recount all the facts. In essence, they a) routinely failed to do what they promised, b) gave at various points misinformation, conflicting advice or no advice at all on how I should handle important matters regarding my case, c) allowed me to speak to an attorney only the one time before I signed with them, otherwise I was consigned to a disinterested paralegal. For instance, when she wasn't able to answer my questions at our last conversation, and was contradicting what the attorney had already told me, finally said she'd have my attorney call me...the attorney has yet to call many weeks later, and d)misrepresented by a large factor the amount of my weekly workers compensation check would be withheld in payment to them when they requested review on my case. I left them for another attorney who is actually wonderfully engaged, available and much better informed. My experience and my advice would be to avoid these people at all costs. You have enough problems already and need someone that will really have your back. read more
