We couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Altagracia and her team. From our very…read morefirst consultation, she was attentive and empathetic toward our situation, taking the time to truly understand the stress we were under. She strategized with us about our options, clearly outlining the potential costs and risks of pursuing our case so we could make informed decisions from the start. We were even given a recording of the consultation to refer back to later. That thoughtful extra step was invaluable and should be standard practice if it isn't already. This was our first time hiring a lawyer for anything, and we learned a great deal through the process. The office was completely transparent about billable hours and how charges were applied to our retainers, which gave us peace of mind. Communication was excellent, and the little touches made a big difference -- being able to text our attorneys, receiving a call whenever something needed clarification, and even seeing the friendly portraits of the admin team in email replies. It made every interaction feel personal, and I truly appreciated putting a face to the name of the person helping me. They guided us through a very stressful dispute with our landlord, and we felt confident they would secure a settlement in our favor which they did. Altagracia was thorough, detail-oriented, and unwavering in her support as we navigated litigation against our unsavory landlord. Thanks to her expertise, we were able to get out of a 2-year lease without any financial penalties -- something we could never have accomplished on our own. For those who have never hired an attorney before, the cost may feel daunting at first -- but her services are truly worth every penny for the professionalism, skill, and peace of mind she provides. She keeps her clients' long-term goals in focus, giving practical, realistic advice when pursuing "full justice" might not be the most sensible option given the time, cost, and uncertainty of court proceedings. If we ever need a tenant/landlord attorney again, Outerbridge Law will be our first call. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of legal assistance in these matters. Our sincerest gratitude to Altagracia, Charles, Suchita, Heleina, John, and the rest of the Outerbridge team for their support and guidance. -- Rachel & Hector

We initially believed a will would be sufficient, but Roman explained that in New York State, proper asset protection involves much more. He broke everything down in clear, practical terms and guided us through each step of the process. Throughout, Roman was professional, patient, and approachable, especially important as my elderly parents needed time and reassurance to feel comfortable moving forward. He consistently answered our questions thoroughly and was always prompt in returning calls and emails. Now that my parents have since passed, Roman and his team continue to support me and my siblings with our own planning. I've confidently referred family members and their parents to him as well. Roman is an exceptional attorney, and it's incredibly reassuring to know we have him on our side.

I went into this divorce process scared and hoping someone would just tell me everything would be…read moreeasy and work out perfectly. That's not what Debbie did, and honestly, I'm glad she didn't. She told me the hard truths right from the start. There was no sugarcoating, no false promises. She's a total straight shooter, and in a situation like this, that's exactly what I needed. It wasn't always what I wanted to hear, but it helped me make real decisions instead of living in denial. She takes the initiative without me having to chase her down or beg for updates. She's always two steps ahead, thinking about what needs to happen next. Super involved, very personal, like she actually cares about how this affects me and my life, not just another file on her desk. She got me remote court appearances when I really needed that flexibility, which made a huge difference with my schedule and stress level. And the communication? Unreal. Emails at all hours; early morning, late night, weekends. She was always prompt with her responses and never left me hanging wondering what was going on. If you want someone who will fight for you, keep it real, and actually be there when you need them, she's the one. Highly recommend.

I would never recommend her to anyone. I'm palling to take this to the court.

I retained Rebecca Dahlen to represent me in a matrimonial matter and unfortunately had a very…read moredisappointing experience. My primary concerns were responsiveness, timeliness, and preparedness. On multiple occasions, I had to follow up for work or information that I expected to receive without repeated prompting. At one point, I specifically confirmed in advance that materials I had provided would be reviewed before a scheduled meeting, but I came away from the meeting concerned that the necessary preparation had not occurred. The representation ultimately ended when Rebecca decided to terminate the attorney-client relationship. Even after that decision, I experienced delays with the transition to replacement counsel and had to repeatedly follow up regarding my file and work product. Most frustratingly, after Rebecca and I had spent considerable time reviewing a settlement agreement provision by provision and discussing proposed changes, the marked-up document reflecting that work was not included in the file initially transferred to my new attorney, requiring yet another follow-up. Divorce matters are already stressful, and I believe clients should be able to expect timely communication, careful preparation, and an orderly transition if representation ends. Unfortunately, my experience fell well short of those expectations.
