I recently decided to make a change and move closer to my family. I asked two of my sisters for a recommendation of a Realtor. Both of them immediately responded "Alicia Lansford with Markham Realty in Huntsville!" Alicia sold my sister and brother in law's house and they were extremely happy with the job she had done for them. I contacted Alicia asking her to represent me. I shared with her my list of criteria for the home. She didn't even flinch. She went to work and soon had put together a list of over 50 listings. I was able to peruse these online and ask to see the ones that appealed to me. We looked at several properties and Alicia found "the one" for me! During the process, she communicated often and kept me informed about what was going on. She put me in touch with an awesome mortgage broker, and a couple of super inspectors. We closed on time and everything went very smoothly. I feel like she got the best deal for me almost as if it was her own money being spent. Here's the bottom line, I recommend Alicia Lansford and Markham Realty. If one of my family or friends engages Alicia as their Realtor, and for some reason are not satisfied with the job she does for them, I'll pay her commission. That's how pleased I am with Alicia. read more

Alicia Lansford gets 5 stars, 10/10 from us. On our recent hunting land purchase, working as our buyers' agent, Alicia provided informed guidance, careful curation of potential properties, convenient showings, clear interest in understanding our goals for the property, and aligning her counsel with those goals. Even though the properties that we were most interested in considering were an hour or more from her office, she was extremely accommodating to us in scheduling showings. She even hiked the property lines with us, spending the time we needed to gather information as we evaluated our options. Alicia was clearly focused on our needs, and did her very best to ensure that our goals were met from initial property view through closing. She gave us wise counsel regarding practical considerations of crafting and negotiating an offer to purchase, arranging utility transfers, managing insurance and tax considerations, and ensuring that so many more important details were properly addressed. Alicia is a very capable Realtor, and has special expertise in land transactions so she was a great fit for us. Laws and traditions on land deals differ by state, so our previous out-of-state experience was of limited value in Texas. She has encyclopedic knowledge of the intricacies of land transactions - leases, easements, mineral rights, acreage valuations, timber and agricultural tax valuations, and more. Alicia Lansford we can recommend with enthusiasm and without reservation. You will be pleased to work with her. read more

My husband happened to meet Alicia Lansford at an open house and knew right away that she was our realtor. Alicia is knowledgeable, professional, works hard for you, and has your back. Alicia and her agency did a great job, and our house sold quickly. She is informative, straightforward, and would remind us about things that needed to be done in the chaos of selling and buying a home. It was easy to communicate with Alicia and she was always quick to respond. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. We highly recommend Alicia Lansford! read more

I would never use these guys. I was interested in a small lot that David Markham supposedly had the listing on . He would never text me back until several days later. Ive bought and sold several properties in the past..including beach cabins and lots that Ive owned on the coast . My little deal was to small for him to mess with I assume. Ive had good luck with several agents ..but never did business with a company like this one. Thumbs down! read more

My wife and I would enthusiastically recommend Cindy Markham with Markham Realty for your Real Estate needs in the Huntsville area. We were looking for a second home in the area 100 miles from our primary residence. We looked for 3 months and when a new house came on the market she would notify us and if there was interest she would look at the house and report back. Ultimately, we could not find a house that we liked and decided to build. She represented us in negotiations with the builder throughout the process. The current market and supply chain conditions posed certain problems in the process and at some point the builder realized he would not have his normal profit margin on the project. He then became very hard to deal with but Cindy stayed engaged and pushed him hard. to live up to the things he had promised. I honestly believe we would not have made it through to completion had it not been for Cindy. Cindy knows Real Estate, she knows the market and is a skillful and effective negotiator. She is professional, honest and always prompt in response to any questions or concerns, She will always be our Real Estate agent in Huntsville. read more

Gotta say, never felt so inconsequential as I did while dealing with David Markham and this company. Looking at buying around the Huntsville area I called Markham Realty on March 25th and David called me on the 26th. Discussed the options I was looking for and needed to be within 30 minutes of Huntsville and 40 from Oakhurst. David said he would send me some properties and set up a portal by the next day, the 27th. On Saturday, the 30th, I messaged David asking if was still going to be sending me some properties to review. On Sunday morning I messaged Markham Realty through their Facebook page and David texted me 20 minutes later saying he was home sick and would get me the list the next, which he did. The list contained properties well outside my desired areas and the lists didn't reflect data that is important to me. I had to use the address or MLS and search other sites for the info. Inconvenient, but I'm still working with it. Tonight I messaged David asking if we could change the parameters of my search to be properties of 8+ acres with 2 or more homes. He responded that that would be covered by the existing query and if I don't see that in there, it isn't on the market. Granted this is true, my focus changed and I don't want to look through the whole list of properties looking for what I want. Is it to much to do the search and send me a list meeting my criteria? For David, it seems so. I responded back that I was sorry to bother him. After I thought about it for a bit, I again messaged David letting him know that I would just find another agent. I also messaged Markham Reality through their Facebook page to let them know that I let David know that and if they were interested in feedback as to why, reach out. They responded with, "we received your request and will be happy to honor it." No more family business' for me. read more

Man, are these guys RUDE. I suspect they have another income stream because when I called about a house I was interested in, it seemed I couldn't be doing anything but wasting one of the Markham's time- and I was calling because I was very interested in a house and just wanted to do a walkthrough! Although they clearly don't need my business, they'll also never get it. read more

Great experience!! My wife and I were looking for a modestly priced home. We have been very pleased with the friendliness and professionalism with which Markham Realty has handled our search. For the relatively nominal amount of return on their part due to our lower end investment, we have been impressed with the amount of time and effort invested by this agency in an effort to help us attain our goal - with special appreciation for the agent working on our behalf who has been very patient and accommodating regarding our scheduling needs. When the time arises, we look forward to working with this agency in the future! Thank you Markham Realty and Cindy Markham! read more

Every experience is different with an agency based on the agent you get, I guess, so my review is of Natalie Pierce-Cox. She was amazing!!! She worked so hard to sell my house. When I decided to remodel it to increase the value (I live in another state), she actually let contractors in and out and she herself climbed up on the sink to put in a new mirror! Natalie was simply fantastic. Also, smart - she was able to process data and give me a good idea of what market price was in the area, but also she wasn't pushy and still allowed me to make the decisions based on the information she provided to me and how I felt about the situation. When we went under contract, she kept me abreast of the buyers' situations in terms of what they would/would not negotiate on, so we knew how to frame the contract. She also kept a box of photos I had left in the house by accident after it sold - I kept promising to pick it up, but never did....so a year later, she had still kept it for me and mailed it to me at my request. Just all around a fantastic experience. read more
