I'm really disappointed. I have gone to Dr. Nightengale for years, but on my procedure in June 2025, no one in his office told me that my insurance would not cover a "diagnostic colonoscopy." They found polyps three years ago so I have to go back every three years to be screened. My insurance will not pay the full amount because it's billed as "diagnostic" rather than "routine" and no one told me this when I made the appointment or had the procedure. So now I'm on the hook for over $1000. I've called multiple times trying to get this issue fixed, but to no resolve. I will find a new doctor immediately and will never use these doctors or this center again! I work in media, and every year we tell people to "Get screened!" But making people pay exorbitant amounts by either coding or billing this either improperly or in a way that leaves people holding the bag is unethical and wrong. Next time I'm due, I'll find someplace that can tell me the actual price out of pocket that I'll be paying or they won't get my business.
