She asked for him to remove our son from her on a Wednesday morning, he said he could not do it that day and would not let another doctor do it. He wanted her to wait until the following Monday. He told my wife that "her pain would be the same" if it happened on Wednesday or if it happened on the Monday. That comment did not help anything. We chose to go to St. John's that day and they took such good care of us and we got to have some time with our son. That would not have happened if we had gone with Thompson's plan. Also, our son stopped moving on a Sunday, my wife had last seen Thompson on the Thursday before. It was a quick in and out. My wife said she was feeling weird and he just brushed her concerns off, and went on to the next patient. Very rude. Please stay away from him. Since this happened, we have had a daughter and we used Dr. Parham with St John's. The difference in the doctor and patient relationship was night and day compared to Thompson. Dr. Parham cared and checked everything on my wife that she needed and wanted. He also discovered what had happened during the prior pregnancy and that was very helpful. He found some issues with my wife and has honestly probably saved her life. Stay away from Thompson! God Bless!

As far as the above review...sadly mental health evaluations are very expensive. Before we had good insurance we had to delay any evaluations for our son. It can run from 600-1,000. You may have to wait to be called back but I would rather have a long wait knowing she is giving all her patients the same kind of care she gives me. As for the review from Brandi H. If you have never worked in a Medical front office you may not realize the patient must sigh the form before treatment. If they trust the VA to pay there should not be a problem. The form is just to insurer the doctor is paid by someone. I'm sorry to hear the front desk did not handle it in a kind and understanding way to the patient. I'm sure Dr. Smith would have been upset if they were rude to any patient.
