I met Anthony, the owner of XTOLIA, through a mutual friend. We began discussing my business website and online presence over several weeks. Initially, I was not even looking to purchase a new website, but Anthony strongly persuaded me that rebuilding and managing my website would be essential for my business growth. Throughout our conversations, he presented himself as a Wix specialist and website expert. He performed a website audit, pointed out issues with my current site, discussed SEO optimization, traffic growth strategies, website layout improvements, and ongoing maintenance services. He sent examples of websites he claimed to have developed and spoke very confidently about the results he could provide. Trusting his expertise and professionalism, I signed a contract on April 19 and paid him thousands of dollars via Zelle in good faith. After payment was sent, communication completely stopped. It has now been over a month of repeated calls, texts, emails, and follow-ups with virtually no response or accountability. I have received no completed work, no meaningful updates, and no resolution. What makes this even more concerning is: * The phone number listed online is disconnected * The business address appears to be invalid or not actively staffed * Multiple attempts to locate or contact him have failed As a business owner myself, this experience has been incredibly upsetting and financially damaging.
