We've been with WebStyle for about 10 years and their Website design & Service have been excellent.

Ever since we hired Webstlye Inc. our business hasn't been the same, each year we get less calls, less business, we do not show up on google as we once did, our clients call and the majority of them ask if we are still in business and they share with us that we aren't showing up as we did before and this makes them think we are out of business. When ever we have questions for Webstyle it takes 3-5 business days to get a response back and after any conversation with Maldenka it's still the same and nothing changes. We are currently paying $599.00 for a service not being done just because there is a contract in place. When we asked Maldenka we wanted to cancel our contract she told us that if we want to cancel our contract we have to submit the request 90 days before the renewal date, and that she would help us to get a lower rate as opposed to paying the full amount. Now we have decided to cancel and asked her to lower the rate as she said, now she's telling us that she can only lower the rate if we extend the agreement with Webstlye which is something we are not interested in because of our experience we've had in these past 5-6 years we feel that there will not be any changes. read more

Dealing with this inept company was one of the worst experiences of my entire business career. My CAT could design a better site than these kooks. They promised a "free" site because they were new in the US, but were Europe's top designers. Believe NOTHING they say. They want you to sign a long term contract, paying for the most low rent, basic website, hand over control of your social media, and then charge you to break up with them if they don't keep their end of the bargain--always a good sign of integrity. After a lengthy meeting with a disinterested sales person, I felt they had enough info at least to create a site they were promising. What they did was pop in GENERIC info from other people's balloon sites and drawings of balloons instead of using the info I gave them and our photos (we have over 50,000, but I gave them about 50). They offered things that we don't do (because they are basic and boring), and ignored what makes us unique. Their descriptions were clearly written by someone who didn't clearly understand english, which is always impressive. The last thing we would want to do is to use other people's work or words on our site. But we received a site that had nothing to do with us, and did not represent us in any way. Someone just copied another balloon company's site, and they were done. It was a nightmare. And when they showed us, we had already signed to pay for their handling of our social media (after a mind numbing 3 hour meeting I would have done almost anything to end)--I can't believe I did this! I don't care how bad you are at websites--they are just cutting and pasting and you can do this for free! I was stunned at how badly this site was worded with stupid, childish balloon drawings (instead of actual photos of our modern balloon art)--it was all the very opposite of what I clearly asked for in person and repeatedly in writing. Everything they said was a lie. They did such a remarkable job of tossing our work away, and replacing it with other people's (stealing)--it was clear they didn't care about us or the end product at all. They cost us money--they did not make us money. It turns out they are not "new" in the US, they are just skilled at making old bad reviews go away. Cut and Paste is not design. Stealing is not innovation. Just because you are somehow able to erase some of your 1 star reviews does not make you a 5 star company. This is a garbage company for two reasons. First, they offer a garbage service. Any business owner is much better off using Squarespace or a similar service. Second, they are running some kind of scam. I notified them that we are not renewing our contract more than 90 days ahead of the end of the contract, per the contract terms, and they acknowledged our cancellation. Our contract should have ended in March. We have continued to receive invoices from them, and now we have received a notice threatening to take us to collections. I have emailed them at least a half a dozen times with their acknowledgement of our cancellation attached, and I get ZERO RESPONSE. I am trying to get in touch with someone at this company and can't. Did it go out of business???? Maybe these invoices and notices are automated and they are actually no longer operational?? That would actually explain a lot. read more

Run Fast and Run Far!!!  What a terrible experience.  They approached us in May of 2017, and we cancelled their service, or at least we thought we did in October 2017 without even being close to having a website we could go live with.  Their pitch is they'll build you a free website if you agree to be a "case study" customer. So please look us up and give us a call...we are certainly a case study, just not one they had hoped for.   I can't count how many times I would submit a change request or simple instructions and after a week or so I would get an email saying the changes had been completed.  I would check and to great disappointment, most changes would not be completed. Finally I got so frustrated I asked to speak to one of their developers, but was told I could not as they are out of Eastern Europe.  I said I didn't care and that I would take the time in the middle of the night to have a conversation with them. That was when I was told that the language barrier was too great, so it would be a waste of my time. Soon after that, I decided enough is enough. I had just thrown away $2,000 for nothing.  I spoke with my service rep, I was done...cancel my service. "I understand", she said. I never heard from them again, until a week ago when I got a letter from a collections agency demanding $6,000 due in 7 days.  They continued to bill me through May 2018, with not even so much as a phone call or anything. You see I must have screwed up the cancellation in my anger.  An email to your service rep saying "I'm not giving you another penny", followed by a phone call saying cancel our service does not contractually constitute a cancellation.   So unknowingly, my bill kept on racking up for a service that I thought was cancelled, and of course was not using.  But they kept billing, with not even a courtesy call to say, "hey, we're still billing you". I hadn't called them or logged into the system, so clearly I was done.  This has to be the slimmest/dirtiest scam. I was blown away. I have emailed them and called them all week to get this sorted out, but they are not responding any of my emails and they must have blocked my calls because when I call their 800 number the phone just rings and rings and nobody answers.   Maybe they went out of business due to their slimy tactics. read more

Taking over an existing business is exciting, but can come with it's own set of challenges, especially overhauling a website. Where does one begin? Well that's where the team at Webstyle comes in. I called to cancel our services due to lack of work from the coronavirus and they told me that my contract automatically renews every year, even if I sign nothing I am bound for a year! They said they could give me half off of 3 months to stay another year? Really? I pay almost $500 a month for them to do our site and that is all I get? AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! After 11 months (and about $5000) of back and forth with them about the total lack of hits on the site, and hearing over and over their excuses from forgetting to connect it to the *whatever* to the "we need to reverse engineer the Google search engine this month", I called it quits with them and started over. Several errors regarding the content of my site, little or no promotion , no SSL certificate etc...Just found out today after 2 years of paying for essentially nothing that my site is down (without notice and 2 months after terminating my contract). Our small business engaged WebStyle for developing a new website and continued management of our SEO. We spent time with their business development director and was very impressed. We gave review of current site and where we wanted to go, both short term and long term. We knew it was going to be a phased implementation and was agreed to by WebStyle. We executed an agreement and scheduled a Media Adviser meeting two weeks later. The Media Advisor was a very junior person that had difficulty comprehending our business and what we were trying to do. She took our wish list as mandates, which was not the case. I followed up with the director of Business Development and expressed my frustration with the Media Adviser meeting and that statements were taken out of context and that the direction she was pushing forward with did not fit with our business model. I provided follow up information as requested. At that point of time the communication from WebStyle went dormant. After six weeks, we got notification they were going to start production and programming of the site. They in turn submitted the first draft of the copy. It was as if a junior high school kid had written it. It was factually in correct, didn't portray who we were, made false claims, was full of grammatical errors and did not speak to the persona of our brand. I had to completely rewrite and submitted it back to WebStyle for review. I then spoke with their lead copywriter and explained the issues. She understood the problem, took what I had written and tweaked it. In the meantime, the media adviser submitted the first design proposal. It didn't match up to the copy that was being written. I kept being told that copy was the role of a different group. It was two different silos that weren't interaction. I pointed my concerns to the Media Adviser. At the end of the call, she said, "so you approve of the design." My concerns were falling on deaf ears. After another several weeks, I got a call from yet another contact at WebStyle and was told that they were unable to do the programming for our site and they did not have the expertise. This was three months after my initial sales call with Product Development and 2 1/2 months after the Media Adviser meeting. During that time, I spent numerous hours giving them feedback and guidance. I rewrote all of the content. Their concession with that I could keep all of the content - mind you, this is the content that I wrote and they tweaked for SEO. They said that I would be given a refund for any payments made, but none had been made. At signing of the agreement, I had been told the standard terms was subscription services would start 4 weeks after the Media Adviser meeting. I told them I needed to be receiving benefits from the new site and I could not go into a negative cash flow situation. Kobe said that he had approval to start payments at six week post meeting and that our site would take about six weeks to produce. I was good with this. Well, recall, at six weeks I got the email they were ready to start. This was when it should have been completed. I called Kobe and he got approval to have payments start in another month and he would confirm the date. I never received confirmation of that date. It the end of that four weeks is when I got the call saying they were pulling out saying they were overloaded and did not have the expertise. Jennifer started saying that I had not been paying when the case was given the situation, I had nothing due. WebStyle allows quarterly cancellations. I figured that we had another month on that, I wanted consideration for the time I invested and the lost opportunity due to them not delivering. I suggested it be one month of the subscription amount. I told them if they executed, I would leave a happy camper and not write any negative reviews. I was told I'd have an answer the next day. As typical with them, there was no response. Four days later, I reached out. They said they would not come to terms with me and said that I was trying to extort monies from them. I had told them, that they need to feel some impact on their actions to deter them from treating others like this. This is a company run by very junior people without the business acumen to deliver what they promise. I would not waste the first meeting with them. If you do, I wish you good luck and hope you have better success then I have. In the meanwhile, I'm in the process of engaging Studio 98, a company with demonstrable success and expertise.
