I am never happy to report a very bad experience with any company, but when they are bad, I must speak out.
Las Vegas Color Graphics first told me by phone they could accommodate my custom project, and it was in their core competency. They asked me to drive in my materials to review. I drove round trip 45 miles. They agreed they could do the project and gave me a cost. They made an appointment to have me come back the next day for the completion. When I returned (a second 45 mile trip) for my appointment, they told me that another rush job had precedent, and I would have to come back another day. They did not call to cancel my appointment. The sales person Paul was very curt and abrupt with me about this, and did not offer an apology. He also told me that it would cost double what he originally proposed. So they made yet a third appointment promising me that the job would actually be finished by then. 1 hour before my appointment time to pick up the finished project, they sent an email (not even a phone call) to tell me that they would not complete my work, and would not even try. This is now after 4 days of waiting for them to complete what they had promised. They totally wasted my time. I was told to make an appeal to the President. After more than a day, he sent a very cold letter with an excuse why he did not want the project, with no good explanation why. The worse thing was, he, representing the company, offered no Apology, or assistance to expedite my project elsewhere. My rate is 500 a day, which means they cost me over $2000 in time, plus my trip expenses. I had to make a 3rd 45 mile trip now to pick up my materials, only to find they had actually damaged some of my material. I sent the president, Tracy, a request for explanation and apology, but he did not respond at all.
This is not professional.
This company has outgrown good customer service, and feels they are above professionalism. They rest on their past laurels, which tells me they will soon find their present customers going to their competition in order to receive professional respect, as Las Vegas Color Graphics gives none. As by my experience, I can't see them landing many new customers either. Two thumbs down, horrible experience. If you use Las Vegas Color Graphics, don't expect much, with the exception that you will pay much, waste your time in missed deadlines, and do expect poor excuses.
There are several other companies in Vegas with the same or better products and personnel. I am now taking my work to another company who is actually a bigger company, operating in multi states. As I was at this new company reviewing my project, the president came into the meeting, and personally introduced himself and welcomed me as a customer.
Now that is professionalism. They completed the work in 1 day, and I am super impressed with this company. (I won't mention it here right now to preserve anonymity of my relationship with the new company.)
