I've been very disappointed with my experience. Within the first two weeks, it was documented that the lead quality did not align with my business. Despite multiple attempts to cancel and repeated outreach through email and voicemail, I have not received meaningful support or resolution. What is most concerning is that I continue to be billed while I do not have access to my account due to an ongoing dispute. At the same time, automated communications are still being sent to leads on my behalf without my ability to manage or stop them. This situation has created unnecessary frustration and potential risk to my business. All the leads are extremely low quality. Huge waste of time but they do a great job of selling you on the platform and getting agents locked in. I spent $5000 and not a single quality lead. Fulfilled the 6 month terms and told them I wanted to cancel but I was a few days late providing the 30 day notice so got stuck with another month of charges that they refused to stop. But what I received was not anything close to what was pitched/explained to me. Lying by omission is still lying. I called 2 months into my 6 month agreement to cancel. I called 3 months in to cancel. Now on the last day of my 6 month contract I'm told they need 35 days notice to cancel and now I will have to pay for an extra two months of "leads" that I'm not even sure are real people. 1/2 of the leads didn't have phone numbers. This company preys on new agents who are eager to get leads. They push you into signing a six-month contract that they make extremely difficult, if not impossible, to cancel. The leads go nowhere. Most are completely unresponsive, and many don't even provide a phone number. A large percentage opt out of contact altogether. As a new agent, $440 a month is not a small expense. I signed up expecting that by at least the second month I would have one solid opportunity, something with potential. That never happened. What's worse is the lack of transparency. The person I initially spoke with never clearly disclosed the six-month commitment. I was also told that if the leads were "bunk," I would be credited or refunded. That turned out to be completely misleading. When I tried to cancel, they refused. When I asked for help or solutions, they offered none. These are not vetted or motivated buyers as advertised. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these leads are bots. If you're a new agent, stay far away. This is not a service that helps you grow your business, it drains your time, energy, and money. read more

Market Leader has been one of the most frustrating and misleading lead generation services I've ever used. They advertise and guarantee "quality leads," but what they actually mean by "quality" is only that a name and email address exist. That's it. A lead can enter a fake phone number, incorrect address, or have zero real intent, and Market Leader will still count it as a valid, billable lead. That is incredibly misleading. The result? You're paying for contacts you can't reach, people who never requested information, or individuals who have no interest in buying or selling. When you bring these issues to customer service, the response is dismissive and unhelpful. There's no accountability, no meaningful review process, and no real effort to stand behind the product they're selling. Between the poor lead quality, misleading guarantees, and horrible customer service, this feels more like a lead-generation hoax than a professional marketing platform. This is a SCAM company!!!! They prey on new agents and finesse them into signing a 6 month contract that I was NEVER TOLD ABOUT. The person I spoke with originally, never told me this was a 6 month contract and just had me sign the paperwork without mentioning that. No transparency and they rely on the fact that nobody ever reads the fine print! Especially new agents who are just excited to get leads for their business. False promises and advertising. Leads are fake and none of them are responsive and all of them opt out from being contacted. I was told by Kayla that if the leads were "bogus", that I would get refunds for these leads. However when I mentioned this to the account manager Asmat, I was told "leads take time." This is total BS!!!!!! These leads are FAKE!!! So many reviews that say the same thing, I wish I had done more research before "investing" in a fake company that lies to agents to get them to commit to something that generates NO REAL LEADS. None of them are motivated buyers or sellers, they are just browsing and will never respond. 99% of them don't provide phone numbers and their system will automatically provide a number they find online and expect you to check if they are in the "do not call" registry. This is a scam marketing company! STAY FAR FAR AWAY! I filed a complaint with the BBB and also contacted my lawyer about them having breached the contract with their false advertising and promises. New agents especially... please do not waste your money. $699 a month for literally NOTHING. No ROI, no responses from any leads, and they refuse to waive the contract, even when I told them I felt scammed and could no afford it since I am a new agent and don't have business yet. This smells like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Disappointing experience -- did not deliver as promised I signed up with Market Leader (Seattle) after being assured by their sales rep that I would receive real estate leads with names, phone numbers, and email addresses. That was the only reason I agreed to a six-month contract. Who would pay $400 for leads that did not include valid phone numbers? NOT ME! After paying $394, the leads I received included only names and email addresses -- no phone numbers as promised. When I called to cancel, the company would not until I got my lawyer involved. Only then did they stop the subscription but refused to refund my $394, even though they failed to provide what was agreed upon. Go to the Better Business Bureau to see how many other agents they have mislead. As a real estate professional, I rely on accurate information and honest representation. My experience with Market Leader was misleading and disappointing. I would urge others to get every detail in writing before paying. They are not to be trusted. read more

Truth: The quote itself says "Valid Until May 1" confirmed in writing and verbally on a recorded call. Claim: "You should close 1 out of every 6 leads on average." Truth: This is not guaranteed in the contract. Lead quality, readiness, and conversion are explicitly not promised. Claim: "Leads are exclusive and ready to transact." Truth: Contract says leads "may NEVER respond" and no exclusivity is promised. Claim: "You'll get 10 leads/month reliably." Truth: Appendix A only states an average monthly volume with no fixed number guaranteed. If I could give a zero for this business, I would!!! I use their services for six months and I never got one good lead from them. All of them were emails to phone calls that opted out immediately. The worst lead generation I have ever seen.. I feel scammed & done wrong . Also I spoke to them in May and I emailed them and told them I did not want to renew my contract at the end when it was up and they understood clearly. I didn't get any contract cancellation form or anything, but they still charged me an extra month after my contract was up so I called somebody today and asked them to refund me. They sent me some kind of a cancellation contract told me to sign. It didn't tell me what I was signing and hung up on me and did not call me back and when I returned their call, they wouldn't answer or speak to me again, then I got the information back on what the contract was telling me that it was gonna charge me for the month of September . Agents do yourselves a favor and steer clear of this company and they're sales reps who disappear on you after they "got you". There's a reason why they insist on a 6 month contract cause otherwise no one will stay with them past the first few weeks after realizing that the leads they promise you are garbage. They send you a random name and email address, without any type of scrubbing or confirming that the person is in fact the owner of that email address or have any interest in speaking with anyone. And 99% of the time the name you receive isn't even a match to the property owners they claim to be tied to that lead. Total BS and they won't let you out of the contract. Waste of $280/month. Don't believe anything they tell you. Fake emails and fake leads. This company is a SCAM!!!! Pasted below is my BBB complaint I submitted 7/24/24: On June 21 2024, I called Market Leader to discuss setting up a leads account. I spoke with Masih Ahmad, an Account Executive at (425) 732-3950, Masih.Ahmad@marketleader.com. BEFORE agreeing to their service I confirmed with Masih that EVERY lead provided would have a FULL profile with a NAME, PHONE #, EMAIL, and PHYSICAL ADDRESS. He assured me this would be the case. I also told him I only wanted LISTING leads and not BUYER leads. Again, Masih assured me I would only receive LISTING leads (Home Sellers looking to sell their home) as part of my paid service. Masih also said there may be some buyer leads received that I wouldn't have to pay for. I was promised that Market Leader would build my site and lead generation page, as part of my paid service as well. Upon checking the lead generation page they built, it was NOT built to attract LISTING leads, as they had promised, but rather was built to attract BUYER leads. This was the first misrepresentation made by Market Leader. I had to contact them to have them change the lead generation page, which they did. On June 25, the first lead was received and it did have a NAME, PHONE #, EMAIL, and PHYSICAL ADDRESS although they were entirely unresponsive. However, on July 1, the second lead received had a disconnected PHONE # "801-111-1111". On July 2 I received a "John Doe" lead with a disconnected number. Overall, ONLY 50% of the leads have had PHONE #s. A working phone number is THE most critical data of a lead. I NEVER would have signed up with Market Leader had I known I would not be receiving only listing leads with working phone #s. I contacted Market Leader to cancel my agreement, based on the aforementioned misrepresentations, and they have refused to do so and told me they would send me to collections if I didn't pay $500 monthly for 6 months. I will NOT continue paying monthly for a product that is NOT what was promised. It is FRAUD to suck people into contracts, breach them, and then not allow them to cancel. --------- In Market Leader's BBB response they ADMITTED, in writing, that they guarantee NAME, PHONE #, and EMAIL and then in the very next sentence they say I am ineligible for cancellation of my contract do to them not providing what they guarantee??? What the hell?? And I quote, "Market Leader guarantees working contact information (working phone number and/or working email address) and if email address is not deliverable, customer can return that lead.?" and then the next sentence... "This customer is not eligible for cancellation of the account until after December 1, 2024." In law a contract is a promise for a promise. So they break their promise but then threaten to send you to collections if you don't pay?! Only a FRAUD and SCAM company behaves this way and I hope to God Market Leader is out of business in less than a year! I have also filed a fraud investigation with my credit union and am hoping that is also successful because Market Leader has NO interest in acknowledging their breach of contract. I had to click on at least one star or couldn't leave this review...Market Leader does not deserve any stars as it is a total scam. BEWARE!!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS LEAD GENERATION PROGRAM. Any company that holds you hostage to a contract without letting you out obviously knows they are of no value and folks will not want to continue with them as soon as they find out that it is a total SCAM. Their leads are not vetted at all and the leads arent even really seeking to buy real estate. I cannot say enough negative things about this company. It's a shame that people (like me) didn't read all the negative reviews before signing up. They tell you that you can cancel if you don't like it, but that's not true...they really do hold you hostage. I hope this saves a few people from throwing their money down a hole.
