I contracted with Liam to complete a new and better version of my e-commerce site for my locally owned small meal delivery business. He promised launch in 12 weeks, but I knew it would be more complex than that. I paid him $9,000 over the course of ten months, during which time it seemed we were imminently close to being ready to launch and then he just stopped making much headway. He didn't seem to know how to handle some of the slightly more complex issues and ended up hiring a programmer to solve some issues and a year dragged on to 3 years, I am embarrassed to say I continued giving him the benefit of the doubt and then quite suddenly, when we'd composed a list of about 15 things that still needed doing to launch, he announced that he would no longer be supporting Ecommerce sites and I'd need to finish with someone else. So I paid the full amount of the contract with nothing to show for it. The new Drupal programmer who's working on the site, at my additional cost, of course, has found numerous issues and workarounds that need fixing, remnants of Liam's work. I've lost thousands of dollars in unearned revenue that the new site was going to capture, in addition to the 9k I paid him, and the thousands I will have paid my new programmer before we can launch. I'm so disappointed in his lack of follow through and professionalism, and to top it all off, he apparently doesn't carry liability insurance for situations like this! Buyer beware. read more
