Horrible front office. We had an appointment 3 months in advance, even though they have walk-in bc they said you do not have to wait with an appointment. But we still had to wait. My mom is in dialysis and if you know patients who just started, it is very hard for them to be out for long periods of time. Doctor also does not have any idea about the patients. This is the doctor that prescribed me Minoxidil to fight the resistance to all other blood pressure medication. Out of maybe 10+ doctors who are also nephrologists, cardiologists, this is the only doctor to do that. Out of the most doctors he is the one who seems to know what is really going on with you and really how to address the problem. read more

This doctor is extremely dangerous and should be investigated for malpractice. He prescribed my mother Xanax for insomnia. That is extremely non-standard practice. He is likely getting significant incentives for prescribing Xanax. No right-minded doctor would ever prescribe Xanax for insomnia. read more

The worst! Dr. Song diagnosed my dad with rapid onset dementia.... My dad fell again and was taken to the ER where he had a pacemaker put in. My dad is a new man... no more forgetfulness, no more sleeping 16 hours a day, no more incontinence, no more slurred speech, no more swelling of face, no more confusion.... makes sense that now he gets ample blood to his brain and rest of his body. What a joke Dr. Song is... I switched my dad's PCP. I wouldn't see him if he was the last doctor on earth!!!! read more

So with this in mind we visit Dr. Mark Song. Regarding his patient, last time we rushed to Mammoth Hospital ER because of "Out of Control" BP 205/115. Post consult with Dr. Mark Song about 8000 ft. elevation concerns and a prescription for Clonidine was written. No emergency room visit this time. I read negative reviews on Dr. Mark Song and I think they are racist. I decided to give Dr. Mark Song a try. A mistake. I don't like to write negative reviews but I want to warn the public about him. I believe in public service and writing review is one. I don't speak Korean. Luckily ladies on the front desk speak English. Over the phone, it could sound you are getting bad customer service, well that's the way they talk. The front waiting area is nice. There's a water vending machine, jojo bear drink (has sugar, taste sweet), and cupuupacino machine. The front waiting area has big tables that you can sit and read. Almost 100% of patients speak Korean and are Korean so what you experience and saw in other doctor's office could be due to the difference in cultures, boy were they huge. Either the differences it's due to culture or because the doctor is from 2 or 3 generation ago. There is a room with 2 beds with 2 IV poles. It reminds me of the wartime makeshift bunk bed place where wounded soldiers get treated. The first visit, I waited in the front and got taken to a communal room to wait more and then got sent to an individual room to see the doctor. The doctor talked to me but did NO checking whatsoever. I was expecting the doctor would use his stethoscope to listen to my breathing, check my check, abdomen, reflexes and of course that one finger test where he stick his finger up in the you know what. I have had one finger test done when I was 7. I didn't know i had a cavity that you can stick your finger in. I felt violated. The doctor didn't tell he was going to do what he did. Now I am much much older, I know what this test does and it's important to check for the prostate. The insurance is at least $460/month for Blue Cross Gold. I expected a full service. What are you thinking? A full physical exam service, that is. I got my blood drawn by a nurse in the communal room, in front of other patients. There is no privacy. Not even anything to cover you. This is one of the culture shocks. The other culture shock is that war time like IV room next to the restroom. But what this one star rating is for is for the lack of care Dr. Song provided me. I had Blue Shield Gold plan- one of the best and cost about $460/month. I reminded the front desk no copayment is needed for general physical and I was there only for a physical exam. What did the doctor do? Nothing. no check, whatsoever. just ordered blood and urine test and prescribed a drug for high blood pressure. That's not the surprising part. About a week later, I received an e-mail log in to an online portal. I looked at the report online and it said the eye, throat, and other tests were done the patient looked normal. None of those tests were done. It's a complete lie. The doctor did not check my throat, reflexes, eyes, tap my body to check organs. The doctor did not listen to my breathing or heartbeat or even touch me. NONE whatsoever. I might as well had gone to a web doctor where you see doctors online or on the phone. In the second visit, the doctor did NOT even touch me, let alone check my eyes, throat or listen to my breathing. I wonder if he even uses his stethscope. He has his PhD. He is better suited to be a doctor in an academic settings rather than in setting working with patients. read more

My mom went to this office a few days ago for the blood test. She was only able to make waitlist during the morning time frame. Since I couldn't take my mom to the office, she went there by herself. She told me all the great experience about this location. The receptionist was welcoming and greeting with smile. Although she doesn't speak English well, there are people who can help patients with English barrier. Form the beginning to the end, she was satisfied. read more

Saw this doctor on friday, told him ha ringing in right ear and earache in same ear, told him been coughing for 3 months since got bronchitis and still am wheezing when walking short distances. He never listened to my chest, did not look in ear. Asked them to call in refills of my prescriptions to Walgreens for my diabetic meds. Never called them in ran out of insulin on the weekend due to lack of caring from this office, time to find another doctor, would NEVER recommend this place to anyone who is sick or needs a doctor who cares. Not a great start. Mark Song is my new MD I have yet seen him, but I went to the office today to drop off my insurance information in hopes to speed up the process when I actually have the appointment. I get there around a little before 1025. I walk into the office and I see the front desk and the lights are off, but there is a window with blinds where I can see people behind it. I figured maybe the receptionist ran out for a minute to do things. I wait till around 1030 and call the number (714) 626-0700 and a nice lady picks up saying "Hello, Doctor Song office." I said "are you guys open?" She says, "yes, the LA office." I said, "but I called the Fullerton office and I'm at the Fullerton office." She says, "sorry its open tomorrow, the calls are forwarded here." I state, "ok but the office is open and I just walked in?" So what bugs me is that on Google it states the Fullerton office is Open and closes at 5pm, also there is a sign that says the office is open. Pictures attached. Just wanted to make this office aware that its not a great sign for a new patient that office hours are posted online, and at the location; but yet you guys are not open.
