The lady that helped me was very kind and patient, she suggested a few options and I left happy! They do offer non-dairy creamer options. Besides coffee they also have a few sweet treats, I wasn't hungry so I didn't try them but they looked freshly made. There are shirts, cups, food items, some antiques, and so many other things! Normally, my wife and I split a burger and enjoy the sides. I'm glad we didn't split. The burger was so good! We've already decided to go back to try even more items. The onion rings we equally amazing and their hand cut fries we great. The owner and her mother happen to be standing outside when we pulled up. The mother came and hugged my wife. How sweet is that! This town is super small, so it was amazing to see the crowd for a Saturdy lunch! Obviously we're not the only ones that love this place. We'll gladly drive another 90 minutes to enjoy another great meal here. Kudos to the owner and her great staff.

The Sugar Shak - Medford, OK…read more After visiting the Twister Museum in Wakita, our stomachs let us know it was time for lunch. In small-town Oklahoma, dining options can be pretty limited, so we asked Linda at the museum for a recommendation. She pointed us toward The Sugar Shak in nearby Medford, and we're glad she did. I ordered the Club Wrap with a side of baked beans, and both were excellent. The wrap was packed with fresh ingredients and plenty of meat, making it a satisfying meal. I paired it with a Cherry Limeade, which hit the spot on a warm Oklahoma afternoon. My wife chose the Italian Hoagie, served warm, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. It was loaded with meat, fresh toppings, and had great flavor. The restaurant itself is simple and unpretentious--a true small-town sandwich shop. The service was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel like locals even though it was our first visit. While I wouldn't quite rate it a full five stars, it's a very solid 4-star stop. Good food, generous portions, fair prices, and excellent service made it well worth the visit. If you're traveling through Medford or exploring northern Oklahoma, The Sugar Shak is a great place to grab lunch before getting back on the road. Chef T's Scorecard * Food: 4.5/5 * Service: 5/5 * Value: 5/5 * Atmosphere: 3.5/5 (simple, clean, no-frills) * Overall: 4/5 I don't know if I'll ever get back here again but I'd definitely stop the next time I'm in the area.
