I already posted a review on the Premier Dermatology side of this practice but now it's the Family…read morePractice sides turn. I made an appt after finding out that Jodi Wimmer (FNP) had hormone knowledge. I went in for the appt and when asked for my insurance card, I asked the front desk, what the cash pay option would be for an appt to figure out if it was cheaper to go through my insurance or be a cash-pay patient. The lady told me cash would have been $145 for the first appt but my "co-pay" was $105 so I decided that was the cheaper option clearly (not expecting to have an additional surprise bill in a few weeks). I met with the MA for maybe 15 mins then Jodi Wimmer came into the room, I gave her plenty of very detailed symptoms I was having and she confirmed that a bloodwork panel was the answer.. Now after having my bloodwork done twice a year for the past 4 years, I was very knowledgeable about what to expect. Typically to get cortisol/thyroid levels checked, you need to fast, so when Jodi told me that at 3 pm, I needed to go downstairs after the appt to get my blood done, I was confused and said "Don't I need to fast?" and she said "oh, yeah I guess you can, just go tomorrow morning"... Well for women, hormones need to be done on a certain time of your cycle (which I verbally told her AND her MA where I was at in my cycle). But I trusted she knew what she was talking abouts so I went in, and when I only had 2 tubes taken, I was confused because normally its like 5-10 tubes. Turns out, after getting the results back, I was told that I need to go back in to get my blood redrawn due to odd levels (because I was correct and should have gone in at a certain time in my cycle!)... That first blood draw was $150+ out of my own pocket then they expected me to go back in and be charged whatever other amount it would have cost me. The amount of money I spent, to not get answers and to not be listened to, was beyond disrespectful. She made me feel so rushed in the less than 15 mins I got to speak with her at the appt. I ended up receiving a hefty bill 3 weeks after my appt to end up paying close to $250 out of my own pocket (not including whatever the insurance paid) to speak to Wimmer for barely 15 mins. Their billing does not properly break down what you are exactly having to pay & their portal expects you to just hand over the money with no qualms.

The American Fork Clinic used to be a great place to get care. It has gone dramatically down hill…read more When the switch was made to Premiere is had become a nightmare. Billing is constantly messed up despite multiple phone calls. Getting doctors to respond to test test results is impossible despite multiple phone calls. I don't think the doctors really know what is going on in the back office. There is so much incompetence. We love our doctor, who has been our doctor for many years, but because of the incompetence of the office and billing staff we can no longer stay. We are finding a different doctor. It is sad to see a once great clinic fall so far.
