This guy charged me $1300 for a 20 minute visit that resulted in a prescription for some eyedrops. Despicable.

I had surgery in beginning of January 2026 monogram I believe it's called one eye to read one to…read moresee from far I can see great through my reading eye but my other eye to see far is WORSE then it was before surgery!! I been calling emailing and there has been no response . emailed both location brooklyn and manhattan! when I got to see a doctor I thought it was a person it was through the screen (omfg) they were suppose to send me a eye prescription through email obviously my surgery wasn't successful . well one week later still no prescription. and why should I have to pay for glasses what was the purpose of my surgery. besides I have to pay tolls to cross over to Brooklyn, im so annoyed I guess I'll be calling a lawyer so I can hopefully get help . this only showed me the only concerned to make the money not the patients!

Life changing! If you are looking for a sign, this is it!! I've been wanting laser eye surgery for…read moreawhile now but never qualified until recently (combined with a fear of going blind from surgery). Idk what changed in me but it was like a light switch went off where I was so tired of glasses/contacts and tired of being legally blind (-8.5 with astigmatism). It was impacting my quality of life yall. I came here for a free consultation where they run lots of exams on you, the whole thing took 2 hours. Turns out I only qualified for PRK cause my corneas were too thin. Which honestly made it easier for me cause I did a lot of research and I didn't know if lasik or smile would've been better. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say how much the pricing was (some businesses get sensitive about that on yelp) but my insurance was able to give a discount and I paid with my HSA so it felt "free". Worth every penny. What also made me feel more confident about the surgery was that my surgeon, Dr.Beyer has a LOT of experience. He was on the team of surgeons that conducted the world's first PRK surgery. So it doesn't get better than that yall. FYI, this place doesn't prescribe xanax or anything. You have to go through your PCP for that. Luckily I didn't need it even though I have anxiety disorder. I was so excited to get this surgery that I was not nervous at all during the actual operation day. Think about it this way. Its a common procedure and you have a higher chance of getting bit by a shark than complications from this surgery. Also, whatever you believe in, have FAITH. Things will turn out okay and you know what's actually scarier than the near impossible chances of going blind? Death. Honestly, nothing is scarier than dying. Maybe that's too morbid but we are much stronger than we think we are- no reason to be nervous! It's been a couple months since my surgery and I have 20/15 vision! The only side effects is dryness which is normal so just be liberal with the eye drops. But the surgery is super fast! A few minutes per eye (the actual laser itself is like 13 seconds for me). My eyes will continue to stabilize over the next few months but I'm so glad I don't have to worry about glasses/contacts anymore when I travel, dance or surf. They say PRK is a longer healing process and more painful but it wasn't too bad for me. The only pain I had was the first night after surgery. I woke up in excruciating pain but I popped some OTC ibuprofen and was fine. Never had any other pain since. My vision was blurry the first couple weeks so it was lowkey hard to do work but my workplace understood and I took it easy. I could barely make out what was on my phone and computer for the first few days. Small sacrifice for a new life!

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Don't ever,…read moreEVER go here. Everyone who works in this office is totally unprofessional and inept at their job, and the office is disgusting and roach-infested. Here are just a few of the issues I've had at this office: 1) I made an appointment for 8:30 am on a Friday so I could still make it to work on time. When I arrived at the office, the door was locked. I had to knock and eventually a snotty receptionist came to the door, while on the phone with what appeared to be her boyfriend, and let me in after 10 minutes and an extensive explanation of what the hell I was doing there. 2) She had me sit in a chair in the waiting area. When I rose to look at some of the frame styles, I found that I had not one, but TWO baby cockroaches crawling on my sweater. Upon further examination, I found that the roaches had nested up in the chair I was sitting in! Totally unacceptable for a place that performs work on your eyes! 3) The doctor (Dr. Hong) was thirty minutes late for my appointment and did not even apologize or acknowledge the fact that she was late. 4) She did not have samples of my contact lens brand. So, instead of just testing my perscription on another brand of contacts, she made me make another appointment for the next week. 5) Upon returning for my follow up, I found that she had only ordered one pair of lenses for me to try, even though I told her I was almost completely out of contacts, and could she please order at least a week's supply. 6) After my exam, she asked me how many lenses I wanted to order. I told her as many as my insurance would allow. She said no problem, and I could pick them up next week. Then, I got a message two days ago saying that the main office needed to know how many contacts packs I wanted. 7) Upon calling the main office back, they seem to have no idea who the hell I am or what I'm talking about. This place is absolutely awful. Please take my advice and do not subject your wallet, time and, more importantly, your eyes to this disgrace of a doctor's office.

I sat down after a while, thinking she may acknowledge me after she was caught up on her current task and I could check in at some point, which never happened. I went back to the desk and she avoided all eye contact, and it took a few audible "hi, hello"s before she would acknowledge my existence and allow me to check in. -I waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes past my expected appointment before being called back by the doctor. Not the worst wait I've had to deal with, but still not preferable, especially since the waiting room was relatively empty that morning. -My doctor was very quiet and hardly spoke through the check up. I tried to mention a specific issue I had been having with my eyes and the doctor seemed uninterested in discussing or addressing it. This was something that my last eye doctor had prescribed some eye drops for and had discussed with me on multiple visits. She was never rude, but never friendly and did not offer any advice or help for the problem I mentioned. She gave me my prescription and that was that. -I gave my insurance information to the receptionist and paid my co-pay. A month or two later I got a bill for the co-pay (that I already had paid). It took a few phone calls and me printing out my bank statement before they acknowledged that they had indeed received the payment during my initial visit. I will be looking for another eye doctor in the neighborhood and will be consulting yelp before jumping on the closest location this time around.

I originally went to Luxeye Gramercy Park but after they closed, I was loyal enough to go to W'burg because they are that good. It's extremely easy to get to, steps away from the first L stop in Brooklyn. Why are they so great? They have a big staff but everyone is extremely extremely nice. I saw Kathleen Aoyagi for ages and she was awesome, but recently moved - I liked that she messaged her patients and told us about the change. My new optometrist (who isn't new at the store, she's been there for awhile) was really good at my first contact len/glasses check, too. They are careful about encouraging you to get a full opthamalogist check if you need it. They always tell me about rebates available for my yearly contact lens order and offer specials and discounts - sometimes by email, sometimes at time of purchase (my last purchase of a year of contacts came with a month of contacts free, which is a lot of value), and they always ship me my contacts to my house for free (you have to ask). They have a really good selection of frames, and I've gotten 2 pairs over the years, both excellent quality. They haven't tried to upsell me on some kind of special useless coating the way my last eye shop (at costco lol) did. They also have a selection of sunglasses that are kinda tempting, as I'm a sunglasses sucker. :) Overall they're just an extremely good business that I'm happy to stay loyal to, and I really recommend them. I always leave there smiling because they are so friendly (how often can you say that after a medical appointment?) and go get myself a slice of pie at the bakery on the way to the L.

The eye exams are always quick and they have a decent selection on frames. Conveniently located by the Bedford L stop.

AVOID THIS PLACE…read more Staff are HORRIBLE, miscommunicative and irretrievably lacking in situational awareness and professionalism. Front Desk ranges from openly apathetic to "I'd rather work at the DMV." If you can find three working brain cells among the entire crew? You had a really good day there. Why my ire? I went to this new shop to get new glasses and new contact lenses and when my order came in, I called Marcos (one of the aforementioned "geniuses") who let me know "everything was in." I came down with a strep throat over the weekend. Monday morning my fever went to 102 before I was able to start my first dose of antibiotic so as to not make the entire staff ill and of course myself sicker and exercising this thing called "common sense" I sent somebody to pick up the glasses for me. As the person in question, picking it up for me, did not tell them that they were there necessarily to pick up my entire order, but only my glasses; 1. They handed her my glasses. 2. They never once called me to ask if it's the entirety of the order she should be picking up. It gets better. I send this person back to go pick up the contact lenses and I am told that in fact, the reason why she was not handed the lenses was not because she didn't ask for them, but because the doctor wanted to see them in my eye. In other words, when Marcos called me to let me know that my glasses were in, at that time he should've scheduled me to come back in to see the doctor for the contact lens fitting section of the examination. Marcos told me that the only reason why my trial contact lenses were not handed to this woman was because she did not ask for them. I had to send a woman back to go and deal with this nonsense, and I still don't have my contact lenses. A gentleman named Ray got on the phone with me who seemed to think that calling me, "my dear" is the height of professionalism, said that he was trying to get to the bottom of this. To make matters worse? The glasses that were delivered had smudges on both lower corners on both the reading glasses and the distance glasses. When you see this place on Graham Avenue, you should quicken your pace and run quickly away. This is ALSO THE VERY FIRST EYE SHOP WHERE MY NEW GLASSES CAME SMUDGED UP IN THE LOWER CORNERS. PS: If I could give this place, NO stars after today, I would after Dr. Indigo left a very detailed message for me yesterday about releasing my trial contact lenses to me. I sent somebody to pick them up today where upon I was told they would not be released because everybody made a decision last night to not release them, but of course nobody decided to tell me. This is not a business. Do whatever you want with these people at your own peril personally I think a pet store would be a nicer addition to the space, it would bring a sense of professionalism and humanity where there is currently none here.
