We are in the middle of remodeling our master bathroom and hired Mark to do the tile work based on the good reviews we saw. I have to say out of all the work we've done to our house I have never worked with a more unprofessional person. It was a big job (flooring, shower pan, shower floor, subway tile, mosaic accents)and we showed him all the tile prior to hiring him. We are installing mosaic accent tile for niches in our shower. Upon installing, Mark did not center the pattern for first niche and when my husband and I pointed it out, rather than trying to offer a solution (like a professional) he started blaming my husband for not making the niches the right size and that we should've told him we wanted it centered prior to him cutting it (I was home the entire time and he did not come out to ask me anything other than the direction I wanted to the tile to go) He proceeded to start packing his equipment up. (I asked Michelle how many jobs he's walked out of she said this would be the first one. However, now looking at more reviews apparently he has walked out on jobs or not showed up for some.) We had already paid him for half the job and he had just started. In hind site I should've just let him leave. After he settled down and decided to stay it was a very uncomfortable environment. We felt like we had to check and correct his work every 15 minutes. At one point he almost placed a shelf in the wrong location after I marked it out for him. Luckily I caught this while he was in the middle of placing it so he could correct it. After the job was complete and getting everything cleaned up (he left it a complete muddy mess) we noticed how sloppy the job really was. Crooked tiles, missing tile, loose tile, jagged edges, but the worst of all was when we finally got our shower head hooked up we realized that the shower pan that he did was done completely wrong. This was after my mother and husband on two separate accounts asked him about the pitch and slope of the floor and he assured them there was a slight decline in the pitch. Fact is the water runs away from the drain towards a wall and out of the shower. We had a different tile person come out today to check it out and it looks like we will have to chip out the entire shower floor to correct it. This will cost us MORE than an extra $1000 between tile and labor not to mention the entire project is at a stand still until we get this corrected. My husband called Mark to ask him to give us half our money back. Mark told my husband he would give us $1000 and gave his home address (refused to meet at a public place) saying my husband could meet him at 5:30pm. My husband brought a police escort with him to Mark's home where he proceeded to once again blame my husband for all the issues and he refused to give us our money back. He did offer to correct the problem but at this point we don't trust him or his work. Not to mention he is very hot headed and I don't want him back in my house with my little kids. I have to say I would not wish this experience on anyone. We were looking forward to our tile job bringing our remodel together and it has been a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. The one and only thing I can give him credit on is that he is on time and he worked all day. The main bathroom flooring is "ok" with the exception of multicolored grout. But his work is unsatisfactory. I think Mark needs to stick with just basic flooring rather than taking on jobs that are beyond his capability. He wants to play the victim, blaming everyone else for his mistakes while holding no accountability for himself and now we are paying the price while he steals our money. For anyone reading this review please read all the one star reviews..if you're willing to gamble your hard earned money on which Mark will show up...Please proceed with caution and do NOT hire for bathroom remodel. Update: we have since hired a new contractor to tear it all out and redo the job. Upon tearing everything out we were told mark used the wrong thin set for the shower. And the shelf that was installed was still wet from two weeks prior and came right out.

Our new tile floors are beautiful. No more wall to wall carpeting for us. Thank you Mark and Michelle

Eight months later, we are still waiting for the job to be completed. According to the installers, in April, Jim ordered the wrong transition strips to go between the LVP flooring and the ceramic tile. Jim reordered more transition strips. These strips were too narrow to fill the gap left between the two floors. Jim said that he would reorder in more transition strips. He told us would get back to us and come out to ensure these strips would work - that was in September. Jim did not get back to us, I had to contact him. Here we sit, the floor still is not completed. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business! It is by far the worst follow-up and communications I have ever encountered from a business owner!

If I didn't find a tile it was ridiculously expensive. Like 20sqft came out to about $700-$800 and it wasn't even super fancy tile. The cost wasn't necessarily per sqft but more per each piece of tile. It's just not reasonable when it comes to pricing. Now the staff is really great and super nice and they take the tone to talk to you and help you. If you come with a stroller you gotta park out back because if you go through the front you can't get to the tile without having to go up some stairs
